UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

Previously I wrote:
My order statuses, both presumably considered larger orders:
  • Order #1, made 1 December, after site was back up but probably before sale prices were fixed as I only ordered Crunchyroll titles using the sale 10% coupon - not yet shipped
  • Order #2, made 2 December, shipped 16 January

A bit earlier today I got the shipment notice for order #1 above.

Order #2 arrived 29 January. As I'm not in the UK, delivery takes a while and is out of AL's control. The package had gotten wet somewhere along the way and part of the cardboard of the box was delaminating. Fortunately Lime Wood Media's standard packing method of wrapping all the items in bubble wrap protected the blu-rays from damage and everything arrived in perfect condition.

The fact that we are in February and people are still waiting is pretty poor. I would have expected all orders to ship within first 2 weeks of January at most. I am lucky I got my order but what is going on?

In short, record numbers of orders that surpassed all of our previous sales, and a general trend of bigger, far more complex orders with lots of titles + multiple units of each title.

Obviously I've already talked about the other factors that have contributed to the more general state of shipping delays, but this is ultimately why things are taking so long - our order shipment numbers out remain high on a daily basis (barring one day last week where there was a power cut which affected things), but there's still only finite manpower that can be thrown at it when it comes to warehouse size and number of parcels couriers can collect in any given day.

We'll be sitting down with our fulfilment partner for a full debrief on where we can improve things across the board in due course to make things more efficient, but for now it's really just down to folks on the fulfilment side working hell for leather to get orders out as quickly and effectively as they can.

In essence it is possible you ran out of preprepared mystery boxes, making it awkward as titles that were in the initial box, are now not possible?
