As far as I'm aware - Part 1 covers the first three story arcs and Part 2 covers the fourth arc, so there should be 3 discs then 2 discs respectively.

Great Pretender is one of the best anime shows exclusive to Netflix. The first three arcs I consider flawless, and while the fourth arc stumbles here and there it doesn't detract from what is a really solid original series by WIT Studio. I own the Deluxe Edition and the discs themselves does have both the Netflix dub and Freddie Mercury ending song.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the show was very popular and well liked when it was releasing, and for good reason, because most of the show is fantastic. The last arc/case of the show pretty much killed any prolonged conversation about the show though, with a three month gap between the release of arc 3 and the release of arc 4 (almost surely because of Netflix) killing hype. Arc 4 was also apparently a large stepdown in quality compared to the preceding arcs, which left a lot of people who did watch it feeling conflicted/bitter.

Take that last part with a grain of salt though because it's purely thats simply what I've gathered from others. I don't even think I watched arc 4 myself when it finally came out because I moved onto other shows, but I enjoyed the three prior arcs I did watch plenty. Might return to it once my bluray copy arrives.

I'd say this is a fair assessment, but depending on who you speak to, the view on the final arc will vary greatly. Some people thought it was good, others thought it was fine/serviceable, and others thought it was bad.

I'm probably biased, but the first two-thirds of the show are amazing and are worth the cost of admission alone. Animation is excellent, and it has a great soundtrack (very Bebop-esque). Someone's mileage may vary with the final arc/ending, however.

There is a 4 episode spinoff sequel that released back in February, but nothing else as far as I know.

The "Season 1" in the listing is probably just future-proofing incase another season is announced down the line I presume.

Well, finalised my last order at least. Wanted Great Pretender for a while but not at the original price tag. This is still pricy but I'm more willing to buy it now.
Plus finally, after many years, ordered that ReZero vinyl.
 
I already bought all the redux titles I wanted the first time around so it is just the solitary collectors edition that was added after I made my first order for me. If I am lucky I might get it in time for next Christmas along with my day 2 order 😁🤞
 
I was too busy at work and I missed Great Pretender. I guess this is why they do this during working hours, can't sell too many for that price. I'll wait for next year...
 
Temped by maid wars but already spent way too much so probably not and isnt loads off yet - may wait until it goes sub £30 if it does next sale

Received my evangelion ultimate edition today and wow that is a nice set

- i already have the limited edition that i got from all the anime on a steal of a century price glitch last Christmas for £20 but is they any difference in the limited edition and the ultimate? Anyone know as i may sell the limited edition now i have the ultimate edition if they are the same
 
Was the 15% off unlimited membership code a unique code to each person, or is it just like the non member newsletter code where it's the same for everyone but can only be used once per person (as long as you are a member)?

I only joined midway through the sale so never got the email with it. Fair enough if I'm not eligible as I wasn't in time, but before I make my last order thought I'd better double check!
