UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2024 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

it said could only use the 10% code once though hence why because used the 15% one right at the start of the sale had to save it until towards the end of the promo

Yeh, i missed out on the code geass film sets at £20 and a load of them on ebay around £75+ im still awaiting despatch from day 1 stuff, may cancel them, seems they shipping the ones who then want to sell on, abit miffed tbh
I am in a very similar situation. I placed my order early on day 2 and it is still unfulfilled, they haven't responded to my email that I sent on Wednesday asking about estimated dispatch times. I get that they are busy due to the sale but if they can't keep up with demand maybe they should scale things back until they can. It makes it particularly egregious when you see scalpers selling stuff you actually want to keep for profit getting their orders first.

i do find it bemusing when you consider that by waiting til the end of the sale theres always a chance could grab more items later in the sale and save i think going forward i would like to maybe see as a perk of membership besides the single use 15% discount code a re-usable 10% discount code as quite often been put off on when to use the discount due to the concern something more expensive could pop up during the sale that im looking for
This is another problem that would be solved with my idea the other day of giving customers a tick-box option to "Pay now, but ship at the end of the sale". This would allow customers to buy extra items during the lifecycle of the sale, and add those items to an existing order.

The code could then be used on all extra orders, and the resulting items can all be shipped together as one package.

You can only use the unlimited 15% once.
You can only use the newsletter 10% once.
You can continue to use the standard 10% unlimited as much as you like.

I’ve made several orders during the flash deals using the (unlimited) 10%, after having used the 15% on my ‘big’ order. (I haven’t used the newsletter 10% at all)

I have placed three orders and they all have shipped. Ironically enough, in my case I wish they hadn’t. Now I have to spend money of my budget on import fees I could’ve spend on more titles further in the sale

This would be so much better if they want to continue doing these stupid flash sales and daily sale additions on 12 Days of Christmas

It sucks having to pay for shipping and import fees over multiple packages, and smaller packages have a higher probability of damaging items during transit (like my Black Lagoon CE), especially during such a busy time like the holidays

Snow White With The Red Hair seems to be similar: although there’s only a couple on eBay, the stock on CEX has suddenly shot up from a single unit to 16+
That they’re still offering £30 cash despite so much stock means they (CEX) will only have themselves to blame when they can’t offload at the asking price.
Obviously I’m not going to buy from either scalpers or the inflated CEX price, especially as I didn’t even care about the title until it appeared at the cheap discount.

Yeh, they will end up lowering the price if they get to many in

Meanwhile some of us who ordered things like this that we want to keep still haven't had our orders dispatched despite ordering over a week ago 😡

It's almost as if it's the literal busiest time of the year or something, not just for AL, but for everyone else in the chain; Royal Mail, Limewood Media, etc...

Can we at least wait until the sale is actually finished before we all start whining about stuff not being shipped out instantly this year? I'd love to see the absolute meltdown you people would be having if this was the 2019 sale...

Just be patient. You'll get your stuff. Go chip away at your backlogs while you wait. Or cancel and buy them elsewhere for like three times the price, I'm not your dad.

Still undecided to pick up the Cardcaptor sets. £20 for both sounds pretty good but I already have the NIS set

I would definitely recommend the Anime Limited set over the NIS set. The Anime Limited set is a 4K scan on Blu-ray, whereas the NIS set is an older HD master.

Some prefer the NIS set because of the brighter colour palette, but the general consensus is that the 4K scan reproduces the anime more accurately in terms of colour.

Tbh they seem to be shipping orders pretty quick

Out of 3 BOGOF orders, Love Live order and Violet Evergarden order, the only one not shipped yet is my 12 bluray @ 9.99 BOGOF order

So they either; dont have stock to hand for a few titles, dont have boxes for larger orders or are prioritising smaller orders as they're easier to pack quicker

I tend not to do crazy anime hauls, during this time of year as it's insanely busy for online stores and posting companies (Royal Mail, FedEx, Hermes etc)

The more hauls you do, the more likely you have to wait, unless you choose a special delivery service, which costs more.

I suggest to anyone to just be patient, your hauls will arrive before or even after Christmas, depending how busy the delivery services will be this year. 🎄🎁

I'm not saying it for AL Christmas sale, but in general.

For example, I'm only going to dispatch my upcoming anime haul Stackry US after Christmas as there's a chance it will either get severely delayed or the worst case scenario get lost in the process due to so many people using the service during this time

If they are so busy that it takes them over a week to dispatch 5 items and nearly a week of not replying to customer emails then maybe they have taken on more than they can handle. I am annoyed because they have taken £115 and communication has gone dark, all I wanted to know from them is a rough estimate of dispatch times. The people who bought up multiple copies to resell seem to have received their orders so that is another reason I am irritated right now. Also don't even get me started on the whole releasing items early but not informing people officially until it is too late debacle.

I would argue that waiting over a week with no updates and no response to enquiries is pretty patient, a little communication would go a long way to easing people's worries. Some of the items in my order have since gone out of stock and I have had to rely on people on this forum to let me know that I will still get them because the official channels just haven't responded.

There is no need to be so rude and aggressive when people have legitimate concerns.
