There's a note about on the collector's set for season 1 of Durarara to say that the discs will be the crap ones with subtitle issues.

I was thinking about getting it to house my standard edition discs, but paying £20 for cardboard and some art cards seems unwise.

Can you remember what the issues were?

The issues that cropped up with the original discs primarily concerned the subtitles. If you were watching in Japanese with subtitles, at times there will have been timing issues and placement problems. If you were watching with the English dub, no sign/song subtitles would appear at all.

Edit: seems a bit silly that they're even selling it, but I suppose they're being up front about it being a faulty product.

Black Lagoon at £25 is a steal and anyone who doesn't have it yet should get it. It's one of my fav CEs AL has released. The artwork on the inner case is gorgeous. One of the very few times I got a CE on release. No regrets.

Shizz! I forgot about the discount code. Not that it would have worked anyway, I only got £49.97 worth of goods. Bumped it up with the cheapest Blu-ray from the Stocking Fillers (Big Order, ironically) but 10% off of £54.96 would have knocked it back under the free shipping threshold anyways.

Went for double dips anyway, Snow White with the Red Hair for the Collectors packaging, and Penguindrum and Black Lagoon to compare with the Siren Visual and Kaze discs that I already have.

EDIT: and just going by my order numbers, they've had over 1000 orders in the last 24 hours.

I’ll pass on Durarara then. Might get Black Lagoon though. My copy was an Amazon Warehouse return and has seen much better days. At least 100 copies in stock too so I should be able to wait till a Flash Deal I like drops to grab them together.

Just wanted to chime in and appreciate some of you posting updates on the latest additions to the AL sale. Obviously with me having a job that often ends up in OT that I won't always be around to update the post at 5pm on time.

Not bought anything from the sale yet because most of them I bought via EBs, but I am interested in Nadia & ToG UEs if they go on sale. Was hoping to get P5A in CE format in the Last Chance but it didn't appear and by looking at its contents probably not enough value to get them anyway.
