Unfortunately, Amazon is looking stupid in quite a few anime titles. Im curious to see how much time will they take to drop prices like roujin z, bleach movie 3, mardock scramble movie 1, which are all at £20, among others.

I don't really get why the above titles are in the 20-23 pound range. If they were £15-£18, sure, but that much? Bit pricey.

I don't understand why those titles are that price, yet Welcome To The Space Show Blu Ray is £15?

Might be coincidence but the "expensive" anime titles on amazon are almost all from Kaze UK. Mardock, bleach movie 3, black lagoon complete collection, roujin z, trigun movie, among others. I guess I will have to turn to up1 for almost all of these.

Not just on Amazon but in stores like HMV as well

And there we go again. Amazon uk just raised the price on Blood-C and Bakuman.

Blood-C was 18.99 and now is £22,25.
Bakuman was 29,99 and now is £34.95.

I've noticed these two because they are in my whislist so I check the list everyday hoping to see some price drops.

Yesterday I've advised amazon through their system regarding that some titles can be bought somewhere else for a lower price. Coincidence or not, I've done that with mardock scramble movie 1 and fma movies pack and they both got their prices down £1-2. Is not much but better than night.

i usually buy off amazon, but with hmv and play not releasing new titles currently it seems they feel they can hike up their prices.
i've made all my pre-orders with sainsbury's now, for instance bakuman is about £35 on amazon, but on sainsbury's it is only £26

up1's prices are low have a look up1 is awesome

I know it is, i just get pissed cause the rate they use it gets the total amount off the bank a bit higher than it should be. Dont forget that my currency is euros. They charge £2 for adjustments, not sure if UK guys get that. But for me those £2 easily get €3 plus postage. Gets quite expensive from there but I guess is still cheaper than buying from amazon.

Looking at AOL the price for Shiki is £29.99 (39.99 RRP) where did they get £51 from? They're really shooting themselves in the foot with these ridiculous prices!

I know people have had their issues with Anime-On-Line but I really think they could be the way forward, they seem to have a guaranteed 25% off for preorders.

I should tweet Manga UK to let them know that the amazon that they are always quoting for pre-orders are putting up some killing prices.

I've Shiki down with an RRP of £59.99, although I can't remember where I got that from.

ListPrice is missing from the Amazon data, but AmountSaved shows the RRP there is taken to be £59.99.

Someone has mis-read or mis-typed when filling in the details on the Amazon listing, the £59.99 likely comes from the Naruto Shippuden Complete Season 3 which is released around the same time. Correct info is on AoL

Amazons prices are still lower than RRP, still a discount people!

Amazon must have been warned or something

Bakuman and Blood-C saw their prices going down for what they were before and even Mardock Scramble movie 2 pre-order price went down £2.50. I might even buy it right away. Shiki complete series is not £51 but £43,25.

By the way, if I buy one pre-order item and one item they can sell already, do amazon charges the total amount right away or just the amount of the item they sent??

They only take the money when they dispatch the item. So they would take the money for the one item is in stock then again when the other item is dispatched.

Hmm sounds interesting. I might try now and see what happens. Thanks

I thought they would take all money right away but that wouldnt make much sense if the pre order item was still lets say 2 months away from being released.
