To buy a DS or PSP

PSP = 1.3 Gb per UMD

DS = 128 Mb per Card

And thats all you need to know

Its not how long the game is that always counts..its the gameplay, storyline and replayability that usually counts i think. i've played several games on the PSP and i can't say they have been thoroughly entertaining..the DS i thought was better because it brought more to the table as it has the dual screens..so it added to new and more interesting ways to play through games

Bu t its more likly to have more to it with the heigher memory. i mean there isn't much to old commondore 64 games are there, just some blocks. The better the visual quality the more you enjoy a game as you totally immerse yourself in the world, take for examle "Gears of war"

Again, an opinion. I can still immerse myself completely in FFVII or OOT because of the quality of the world, no the graphics itself. There have been plenty times that I have been completely detatched from a game because, despite having amazing the graphics, the world is quite frankly boring or ugly.

Please don't call the game.com a console. It doesn't deserve such an honour.
The touch screen wasn't a touch screen. It was a grid that detected touch only within the squares. Not very accurate. Plus you really needed to press down on the screen for it to detect. And the only games that used the screen were the likes of lights out. I know, I got one for £20 when I was 10.
What Nintendo is doing is including a proper touch screen with great detection, and putting an emphasis on making the touch integral to the games. I agree with you about the two screens though. All they're doing is moving something that would be in the corner of the screen to its own screen, like a menu or map or something.

Much like most of New Super Mario Bros. and Some of Nintendogs.

ok so i forgot about the game & watch systems(hard that i did considering i have some) but i think that nintendo offer more than the sony do in the handheld side of things. basically the games on the PSP are getting transfered to PS2 anyway(well some have..obviously not all) and the games i have played on the system..aren't even that great anyway. And i do find the DS games more entertaining. UMD's are a failure. So what if they have bigger memory capacities, it doesn't matter, its how much entertainment the game brings which is what counts.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So what one person finds entertaining another may not. The best advice for picking a platform, any platform, (weather it be Commondore 64 or a PS3) is which one has the most games your likely to buy. In both the back catalogue and the distant future.

It's Only in my opinion and i'm pretty biased towards Sony (I forget exactly why) but i would buy a DS..

Then again..it depends on quite a few things..

1)How much are you willing to spend

2)Type of Games you Like

3)Originality
