Really happy with AL's stance on teh Ultimate Edition for Cowbow Bebop. Justifications for cost, upgrade plans etc....Andrew just keeps saying the right things.

I'm pleased to hear that there are plans on allowing upgrades if/when a Cowbow Bebop Ultimate Edition gets released.

I'd be an idiot to not do that!

Funimation news:

- Ben-To and Sankarea will finally be re-released in 2015 (early 2015 for Sankarea) as the uncut materials have finally arrived
- Evangelion: 3.33 is still not finished - "a lot more approval, JP add their own subtitle track, JP handling a large portion of the production"
- They don't have the rights to Season 1 of Free!
- Danganronpa The Animation news is a weird response (based on the livestream response), "We don't have any news but we do have the home rights confirmed"

Meanwhile, the Japanese release for Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary includes English subtitles. Packaging Box here.

Odd that it took so long to get uncut materials, you'd assume that it'd just be a case of them contacting Japan, Japan apologising for the mix up, and new materials being fast tracked over within the week. Unless of course they messed up negotiating originally and signed off on what they had been sent as being what they'd paid for or worse yet they actually got the broadcast stuff deliberately and didn't realise there'd be such a backlash when fans noticed

Look Andrew, please. Don't play with my heart like that. ;__; i've learnt not to get my hopes up, but everytime this happens the only thing i can do is do just think "oh maybe this time they'll animated it".


On an unrelated note. I noticed the SLA tickets for edinburgh is now up and they added two extra films for our showing. Both The Princess and the Pilot and Cowboy Bebop: the movie are now on our schedule, taking it to 13 showings for us. Now i just have to see if i can afford most of them D:
