Oof. I've seen the updated animation and it's bad. They basically redid scenes to more rigidly follow Hirai and it's hideous. Case in point, there's a scene where Lacus is giving a relaxed natural smile. Finally got around to trying Gundam Card Game at a low level local shop tournie.
....Ehhhhhhhhhhh...
I didn't win a single game, not that I was expecting to or am upset about that. Rather, I just didn't enjoy how rigid it was. What started as good spirited patience ended with me feeling like I was intruding where I didn't belong. To the point my final opponent kept treating me like a child if I didn't do every action to his like.
I'm stuck in a hideously right wing backwater town so thought this might be good for socialising. Instead, it was rigid and tedious.
