People in the line for Gundam Base drop day complaining the opening gave priority to influencers.

Glad that's not just my hangup...

Sincerely, after how hard things last month hit me concerning not getting invited for coverage it was nice to hear the complaint from others unprompted.

Anyway- there were 7 of us for the first post opening drop day although technically 9. They didn't have enough staff to send someone to bring us in so 2 people just avoided the line and waited in the market.

I'm not too worried. If anything I prefer the quiet (I certainly wasn't waiting until 5am this time) and I think with it no longer being a pop up people are more relaxed. Admittedly they did only drop the announcement at like 7pm last night.

I didn't buy any Gunpla. I am tripping over kits so in wanting to try to get another of the 3 badges I bought other stuff. A booster pack each from GD04 and GD05 respectively, the Destiny Ignition set and a vinyl Haro.

Also tried my luck at gashapon. However I bought tokens before I realised certain machines were out and so ended up using them on a pair of Capsule Index machines. Got GQuuuuuuX, Red Gundam, Infinite Justice II and Aerial.

Additionally, I swear when I showed up someone said "Grant's here". So my rantings might have me famous.

Something that did surprise me whilst checking if the points scheme was now active-

One of the prizes is a set of 12 badges based on the card game Resource card art. Each badge requires 5000 points, which is £50. There are 12 of them with an explicit statement they can't promise they'll have all of them available during your visits. And to my understanding once points are redeemed you have to start over. You aren't benchmarking.

So that's £600 to essentially gamble to complete a set of pin badges and if you start the set and the odds are against you, tough luck.
