That doesn't mean Shinji's right, though. I'm watching some Gurren Lagann at the moment; Simon's pulling himself out of his depression.I suddenly feel very empty now. You win, sir.
Go, Simon!

*clicks geek together thrice* there’s no place like home.

Totally! I mean, this was when I was in my early 20's. I acted like a grumpy grandma then, I will only get more grumpy and more cynical as the years go by!
Is this an anime show or just a regular ol' normal show? Also, on a serious note, it's a tough thing to pull yourself out of, been there a few times
This just this. Except I’m a grandpa!
Lets be cynical buggers together, and shout at people to get of our lawns! XD
I guess the idea of going out to clubs, having to avoid broken glass on the floors, trying to yell your order over the overly-loud music that blares through the speakers isn't my idea of fun. If I go out for a drink, it's to a tea shop for a cuppa and a scone!
Same here and it’s an anime, one I’d recommend!
Fairly similar here. I’ve been clubbing once. That was with my OH mainly because she wanted to try it.
It's not for me. I'm teetotal (not that it means you can't go out), but it does mean that in your sober state you're watching those around you who are more than slighly inebriated make utter plonkers of themselves; I'd just rather not be around that. I mean I have no problem at all with people drinking, but I'm sure you can drink and be sensible about it rather than just trying to get drunk for the sake. It can't be good for the wallet, or the body for that matter!
Ah, cool!
Yeah, I get it too I wouldn't wish it on anyone, and I just wish it gets taken more seriously as an illness.

Oops, falling behind here. Yeah, Gurren Lagann is indeed an anime series. It's from Gainax, the studio that made Evangelion.it’s an anime, one I’d recommend!
This is very true. Some just don’t take it seriously when it can be very debilitating.
Haa, no way! Me too. I never started in the first place.I'm teetotal

Also, it's the same writer/director combo as Kill la Kill, another easy recommendation.
I wish I was more like Simon than Shinji!
@~AyaMachi~: For the record, that name's pronounced 'See-mon', as if it were French.
It really can. It got to the point where I had to ask for help. I'd been to ashamed to, and tried really hard to hide it, but it got to a point where it got too much. Everyone is different and it affects people differently, but it's an illness all the same, and it really is awful to have.

Yet another similarity, I’m on some meds now, they help to some degree but definitely not a cure all. Fixing triggers where possible is best imo.
