I've got the back pains... :(

It's ok while I'm seated, but it hurts to walk.

I believe it's partly because of general posture, partly because I did silly things at the gym on Monday. It started hurting yesterday, but was really light, so I didn't bothered, but today it's really painful :(

Gym sounds about right then. Back Pains, at least from what i've experienced, either attack at full force straight after you've done something, or its the day after pains you get. I did something similar with my wrist at the end of last week. Working the night shift as usual, the floorers for the shop(shop is/was getting refitted) finished putting down the paste or whatever before they glue and tile the floor the next day, and i slipped(no i didn't claim, no serious injuries). Wrist wasn't to bad then but the day after it was quite painful.

On another note, hey peeps. Been home for about 3 hours now, should get some sleep but again cannae be arsed...and i have work again from 8 tonight =/ Least i finish work in a week.

The best thing to do with a bad back is gentlre movement every so often to stop yourself resting in one position and potentially causing more problems down the line...if you sit upright for an hour then take a lie down for a bit, or stand...just make sure you don't let everything heal with you just in one position.

Sorry to heara about your back Chaos, hopefully its just a bruised muscle and will be fine again in a few days, till then you might need to get some painkillers.
I'm getting me some plasters during lunch time. On monday I've upped the weigths a little bit, but I guess was to greed - I had a re-programme there and the trainer corrected my posture on a few exercises. I guess I'm just not good at doing it right =P
Now I realize that I should have done one at a time. Fixed my posture first, then upped the weigths. back pain just means I won't be able to pull weights until it's all right again :(

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to change my position by getting tea, visiting the loo and so on.
I realize that it only hurts when you change positions.

Morning 666 and Chom. :p

I really cannot be arsed with work today. Why is it only Wednesday?!!?!

I used to do weights but I wasn't patient enough to do them. I took up jogging, squash, badminton etc. instead. Work up a good sweat and it keeps me entertained.

.

I second that....today is a boring day, i've neglected my workload for the rest of the week. simply because i've done everything possible to cover units at short notice and my staff aren't coming back to me so their going uncovered. and usually the "UTC" for Unable to cover, in my System would trouble me to no end.....but yesterday i reached the point of "i don't care" after the 6 shifts i had covered for them they called back and said "we covered internally so don't worry about it" all that work for them to go S'all right, nevermind was enough to push me over the edge.....now i'm making CRB letters to go out to the staff. monotonous....but tbh its just about right for today....its as much as i wanted to put into work for a wednesday.....bare minimum.

ROLL ON 12.30 LUNCH!

...and I second that!

It's one of those wierd days when it's not too busy but steady enough to have you doing something all the time. The only downside is, with the lack of rush on it, time seems to pass more slowly. Dammit!

Are you benching?
what KG are we talking? *curious* :p
I don't think I've done benching in years. Last time I did, it was 60k

But I'm pretty weak. I'm just starting to recover my overall strenght, but I've spent over 10 years with no exercise at all, so it's going to take a while. Specially if I keep on getting hurt :(

I am not looking forward to today. i have to work from 1.30 to 10.30 tonight. near the end of my shift we have to take a delivery off the truck in the high street and pulled all them all into the store halfway down the road and into the lift. now when they are 45 cages a night to do this and considering we have to bring up all the empty cages we have downstairs and we only have 3 people to do it, it is hell. we have to do it all by ourselves. why we are one of the few chain stores in out company not to have a loading bay i don't know!

That sucks 666. I can relate too as I used to to the same thing only I only had 3 cages to do. But I had to do it on my own. Talk about health and safety flaws. o_O

EDIT: Don't give up Cola Mutsumi!! Diet coke at least in my opinion gives me life. Think I'd shrivel up and die without it.

WHO SAID ADDICT?!....

I think I'll be healthier if I can give up the caffiene & the sugar & the acidic drinks. :(

if it is a chain across the country, u should tell the name of it ! please? i need cheap coffee! :D
Not a chain, i'm afraid. My office's building have a couple staff cafeteria (1 on the basement, other on my floor and another two floors above). I used to go to the basement one and the one a my floor and they serve starbucks coffee. It's a bit cheaper than the high street as it's partly funded by the company, but the one above me has some very good unbranded coffee, which I wasn't aware of until I've returned from a meeting on the aforementioned floor.
