just booked that all important opticians appointment. nothing saying whether I've stopped wearing glasses, I'll just take the slap on the wrist in person... I have a suspicion I shouldn't have stopped wearing them (it's mainly reading)
I seem to have done the opposite. I was informed to wear my glasses so that I could read from a distance (being short-sighted) back when I was 11, but in the nearly 10 years since I've just worn them nearly constantly and now I barely even notice they're there. My eyesight apparently hasn't deteriorated too much so there's that.

well I @Phobos did have a private chat with me about it but it's the same as you, a little short sighted, I did used to wear them all the time, stopped about 10 years ago for vanity, nothing's changed apart from distant things escaping my notice sometimes and well i need to read what I'm doing at my job! still I've been able to keep that job for 5 years without glasses somehow

I have discovered a disturbing development; the drawer under my bed, I put some of my blurays under there - more specifically the ones I think no one else would be interested in, while looking for Watamote I found Black Lagoon (season 1) FLCL, Blood - C and OPM - the hell were they doing under there?

All done and dusted now. I think it went really positively. Only lasted about 15 mins and was very informal. She was very impressed with my CV and letter, which I always appreciate feedback on anyway!Just awaiting the verdict now! My colleague has her interview tomorrow, so...fingers crossed!
She (my boss) is also not as...Scottish as I was anticipating. Heck, @Neil.T is more Scottish than she is and that's saying something since he's a #ProfessionalFakeScot!
