I just reminded myself to watch someone's overview on shimoneta on YT, how could you recommend that? I mean I have seen it but how could you not chase someone away with it? you would have to tell them about the rape scene before they find out and 'ave you for it

hmm haven't had a rewatch in a while, dub isn't horrid, but as the minds of this thread are the gutter you might like it, there was a review @IncendiaryLemon did on it a while back (I'm not trying to summon you again mate!) which I didn't like, since I do like the series, but his point was that it was one note in that it's all about fitting innuendo into pretty much every scene
 
Shimoneta looks like a series that I'll either like or just quit after a few episodes, I don't mind gross and sexual humour if it works (which admittedly it doesn't more often than it does), but if it's one note and repetitive then not so much. I'll check it out eventually I'm sure.

Innuendo is good when done right. I might end up planning to watch it based solely on the aforementioned innuendo.

it'll probably resonate on some level if like me, you're a bit of an anarchist when it comes to censorship. the world is set up to become morally pure, so much so that everyone wears bracelets and chokers that monitor what they do and say (though the bracelets can be used like today's phones) of course, there are ero-terrorists that oppose the morally pure society

As far as censorship goes, if it’s animated ie not real people then I don’t think censorship should take place, period. Of course if it’s fictional work based on actual things happening that’s a bit different but ultimately; if someone imagines it then creates something fictional I don’t think it should get censored. No objections to people getting offended by the work but I get offended by the censorship! It’s up to me to decide what I watch dangit.

well if you can stand anime america I finished watching their view on it, they do a better job talking about it then I do, it's a video from as soon as last month and they do try to keep it safe for YT, they really do, but then near the end they have a smattering of memes with clips from the show that just, they break the algorithm. the "rocky horror picture show" meme is cut from one of the creepiest scenes in the whole series
I really hope I'm allowed to post it unspoilered...
