Got that for £19 on eBay, though I have the slipcover from the DVD release over the top of it so it has a title on the spine

Heh, I picked up the Elden lied steelbook when that was a cracking price ages ago. I’m surprised they’re still stocked anywhere though.
 
Think it was a birthday gift now I think about it. It's a strange anime, almost like watching a cult classic slasher that isn't amazing but has enough violence and ideas to keep you watching.

I think I got mine like a tenner or a bit under that over the asking price now (I did see it from other shops for £40 or so, when I just checked though) eBay, again this was waiting for waves of stock to come in

Yeah it’s definitely a little odd. Never understood why some hype it so much. Probably because of that whole cult classic aspect. Overall it was decent but not exactly spectacular either.

a cult classic in itself. sure, you can see it's faults when you watch it again, but fans like myself still really love the plot. yes a lot of people have seen it by now, but if someone has to watch something that's quite dark and emotional, I'd recommend it

I have to say I love mayus backstory. All in all it’s definitely worth a watch. Think I watched it at the best time on my first watch though, it’s got such nostalgia now.

I'm sorry, mayu gets the shinji corner for me, her backstory is quite disturbing, but her dub voice is one of the really annoying ones and eerr what use is she beyond wrangling nana who would gladly sit down with a jehova's witness and take every word to heart, she's a homeless mooch for the rest of it. one of my favourite moments with her is when bando decides to kick the s*** into her

Omg yes, the dub voice is just... terrible. It was definitely satisfying to see her hurt for her VA’s appalling “talent”.

I think the OVA which finally got dubbed for when it became a home release only has nana and mayu as the same girls, everyone else was different, I think those who worked on the series had different work when it was dubbed. mayu sounds like she has a cold though, much deeper then before, nana you can definitely recognise

they make a lot of the girls high pitched and grating, my personal favourite in it though is kira vincent davis. I was surprised she did nyu, basically voicing a pokemon, but her lucy is, I'm sorry, I just find it very sexy

HWR did just say ADV, but I think a few of them work for sentai now, again, vincent davis, despite voicing lucy, in akuma ga kill she voices one of my least favourite/love to hate characters, seryu, that girl that keeps toting "justice!" I'm sorry, that's not how you justice

Yeah Lucy is decent and that's pretty much it. Bando or whatever his name is is the biggest meme, the dude is insane
