Alas these things can’t be helped. She’s pick it up sooner or later anyway. Besides now she knows what to do to make you swear, she can take full advantage by doing it then telling YOU off for swearing. That one is definitely not a common reason to have a day off.We usually had 3 or 4 days off every Winter for snow or ice, it was nice to have off at that time, but not so nice because some of the make-up days were at the end of the school year, cutting into our summer vacation.
I'm probably one of the few people who can say they got a day off school for RADIATION, though! I live only 10 miles from the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant, and I was a senior in high school when the TMI partial meltdown occurred back in 1979 - schools were closed and we evacuated to our Grandparent's house near Philadelphia for a couple of days.
