Same! Now this was when I was a lot younger and I'm honestly not sure if this actually happened or if it was a dream (nightmare?) but I remember when I was really young having a friend over and wanting to watch something on vhs and so I grabbed the tape (and unaware that the glass door was closed) I just smashed the whole thing trying to put the tape in, I still think about it to this day

Oh man! Nah, sometimes they were awkward buggers though - I remember having to use force on occasion to get the casettes in...I don't think anything was quite as annoying back in the day as trying to tune the TV though - the amount of swearing emanating from my Dad; Ah, he must be trying to tune the TV...XD

I think you misunderstood, the tape was fine, the glass door was unfortunately not :( (I tried putting the tape in whilst the cabinet glass door was closed, my hand just went through the glass, vhs tape in hand, how did I break glass with a vhs tape, and more importantly how didn't I notice the glass door?)

Speaking of TV, remember checking cinema times via teletext?

Ah I see what you mean! Oh man that's unfortunate! I hope your hand was alright though...

Haha, oh gosh, Teletext! I used to think that was amazing - digital text, on TV! I used to think it was really futuristic! Simple things and all...

You literally could have just gone to an actual cinema to enquire about times with the length of time it took to find the listings on Teletext!

And Football scores, I even remember it being 315! With 310 being the main headline page iirc.

I used to volunteer for a youth theatre a few years ago, man I loved it. There was a great bunch of kids there, but some were as young as 5, and they had smartphones! I didn't get my first phone until I was about 14 and even then it was a hand-me-down from my Mum - probably a Nokia 3310 XD

What to 5 years olds need with smartphones?!
