Yeah, I got both season 2 and season 3 sets.

That Street Fighter 4k release is great btw. There is an option to have the JPop soundtrack or the rock one. I totally forgot the end credits had Korn on took me back to being a spotty teen. Ken listening to Alice in Chains in his Porsche was pretty cool though.

My fourth Discotek Media haul from Stackry for this year arrived yesterday - this was planned but timing-wise was not. The intention was to pick up these titles in July, but then Discotek decided to announce that one of the series is going out of print.

I was not well yesterday so I only opened up the sets today (on my Birthday none-the-less, thankfully I had work off this whole week).

To recap, there are two methods tested - traditional top-menu i.e. on PS5, and Panasonic top-menu method (pressing Stop, then Top-Menu afterwards).

So the Top-Menu method for PS5 and other Blu-ray players varies on how the discs have been authored. You won't know which one will work until its been tested.

A select number of Discotek Media releases, sometimes one or few discs in a set, have successfully ran on Region B players by selecting the Top-Menu button.

I personally wouldn't always rely on the Top-Menu method as it doesn't work on most of the titles, but I have made a note on the first few posts on this thread so you can see which have been successfully.

Ideally you're better suited to use either the Panasonic method or a modded multi-region player. I went for the modded Panasonic 4K UHD multi-region player from Multiregion Magic to save myself the faff and also have access to Dolby Vision for my 4K discs.

I decided to leave City Hunter 3 and 91 behind and grab thr IGPX Blu-Ray instead as I heard it's a limited release.

Hopefully that series will be watchable now as the old Beez Entertainment DVD sets picture quality is blurry as hell, it hurts my eyes☠

Or just aquire a playstation 3 hoarding problem like me and either jailbreak it/them all for region A/B/C region switching or buy US Playstation 3 & a UK Playstation 3 (or any UK blu-ray player, but for me how would i get my PS3 hoarding fix) and do console switching (sorry region C, not that I have any region C disc's).

But I only really bought my US PS3 consoles for the US playstation 1 games (PS3 games are region free), I had already jailbroken a PS3 by this point so had multi region blu-ray options at that point.

Ah good point on the US psone games. I've always thought about getting a US PS3 but I have so many devices that no blooming space for yet another, hence the reluctance for the multi region player as well. And too scared to jailbreak my treasured ps3! Nevermind, when I finally finish watching my endless region b stuff, then I'll have enough motivation to sort something out for the region a tings

In the end I decided cave in and buy the remaining parts of City Hunter that I'm missing as I fear they are next in line to go OOP, due to their frequent out of stock status in recent months.
Give how I ended up liking City Hunter Season 1, it's only natural to pick up the rest of the franchise that is still in print.

Still quite bummed out that I failed to grab City Hunter 2 due to mostly US scalpers rush, but at least I own the majority of the franchise alongside Cat's Eye.

R.I.P my wallet for this month though
