I loved Batman Begins and i cannot wait for this film, Heath Ledger looks like he's going to end his career on a massive high.
Aaron Eckhart looks awesome as Harvey Dent. (And hopefully in the 3rd Two-face.

Here's a new trailer and a short (Gotham tonight):http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/06/13/gotham-tonight-and-alternative-dark-knight-movie-trailer-on-comcast/

Edit:
Here's a supposed leaked photo of two-face which is pretty gruesome: http://www.wwtdd.com/photo.phtml?post_k ... _key=13212

This film cannot possibly be bad. It will be fantastic and I am looking forward to it greatly. If that's two face then this is going to be absolutely amazing. I never really liked Batman but Batman Begins really got me interested, this more realistic approach hits big points with me.

I'm so looking forward to this film, i really am. I hope it lives up to Batman Begins and i'm sure it will do. Trying to see as little trailers as possible, i've seen the original one (which i can quote to death lol) and the Joker bank heist as well.
Really looking forward to the anime shorts as well. July is going to be awesome...hopefully.

I will definately be there for the 1st preview screening, this is gonn abe my summer must see movie, really can't wait to see Joker, I may let out a little fan boy giggle when he appears

Feels like forever since I heard about this movie. It's finally nearly here. I already have my seats booked for the first showing at out local Apollo! I'll be wearing a nappy that day, I won't be leaving my seat for anything!

Can I just that Batman Forever and Batman & Robin was poop?

Michael Keaton and Christian Bale have to to be the best Batmans :)

And hey how can you go wrong with the recent Batmans being made by Chris Nolan - he of: Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige fame.

Wicked!

Probably the only movie I'll get to see this summer. I can't wait.

Well, personally, I'd use a stronger word than poop.

The Bat Suit with nipples? You've got to be kidding me.

I never realized Chris Nolan did all these movies.... I guess I love his work then....

I wouldn't say Michael Keaton was a good Batman. I would say that Tim Burton is such a great film maker that even Michael Keaton was a good batman. ;)

What you guys think to Gotham Knight?

I watched it today and found it enjoyable, nice mix of different artists and interpretations. Just makes me look even more forward to the Dark Knight :D

Cant wait for The Dark Knight :) Gonna be going to a gold class showing at the Birmingham Star City Vue cinema :) Unfortunatly my gotham knight DVD hasnt arrived yet as I pore-ordered from play.

The excitement I have for this movie is becoming unbearable! Every time I see an advert for it, I get really excited and then really disappointed when I see that I won't be able to see it until the end of the month :/

I never watched the first, and I'm still not that bothered by it but it came out today over here. Either this weekend, or next I'm seeing it. Probably the day before I get on the plane, cos that seems the day my mother has set out for it.

I'm more excited by The X Files movie.

My friend is in the US doing Camp America and went to see it last week. His words were 'amazing doesn't describe it'. He thought Batman was underused and it was the Joker's show but it was amazing.

Role on Thursday 10am :D

I'm going to see Dark Knight on Thursday and I've been thinking about the previous Batman movies and how much has changed.

For me Batman Begins was the first Batman movie. I never really liked any of the original films from 89 - 97, in fact I still haven't been able to sit through any of the those Batman films (except returns) in one sitting without becoming totally bored by the halfway point. I always considered this a great shame because even though I haven't read that many of the comics I was still fascinated with the idea of Batman.

I'm in the minority on this one but I thought Batman, the first Tim Burton Batman movie, was absolutely terrible. When I saw the Joker I just couldn't stretch my belief that this was the Joker. All I saw and ever will was Jack Nicholson jumping around. Now don't get me wrong I think he's been in a lot of great movies but he wasn't the Joker and never should have been. The characters, story and dialogue were all boring and weak too as far as I'm concerned.

The other movies followed along this trend progressivly getting worse with each movie until Batman Begins which was the movie that had the balls to make Bruce Wayne just as fascinating as Batman. The cast is exceptional all around and I know there is a lot of citique about Katie Holmes in the movie and while I would agree that she gives probably the worst performance I think the problem is that while a immense cast around her were giving perfornaces that redefined their characters int he cinema Katie Holmes just gave a performance. Around talent like that you can't just afford to be OK.

Anyway really looking forward seeing the Dark Knight on Thursday, I'm sure it's going to be great. ;)

Batman is secondary to Gordon in Year One, joker the main focus of Killing Joke. Generally Batman is part of a larger story.

I, too, am going to see the movie on Thursday and I can't wait. Our cinema is going to packed full of people, though, so I'll be sure to get there well in advance of the 8.30 PM opening.

I have to say that I enjoyed the first two, Tim Burton-directed movies and even though the two that followed were more or less dreaful, I did find them entertaining and enjoyable.

I certainly disagree that Jack Nicholson did a bad job as The Joker, also. He was outstanding in portraying a deranged yet nuanced character. I'm not familiar with what the Joker should be (never read the comics) but Nicholson's performance was incredible regardless.

I honestly think her underwhelming and totally lacklustre performance is disguised by how utterly fantastic the rest of the cast is. It's a non-issue for me, really.

I wouldn't say generally, but it's not uncommon to have batman as a secondary character and move the focus to other characters.
