Princess Jellyfish now. Otaku turning to stone, so true
Possibly, the only one good enough to be kept alive in our memories....memorium said:I'm feeling some His And Her Circumstances, arguably the best high school rom-com ever made.
True, School Rumble is the only one that can actually compete in my opinion, it was good for the comedy side of things and the way the characters interacted was better than the standard fare of rom-coms, if it had the same character development of His And Her Circumstances then I would find it harder to pick. Everything else I've watched or read to date that claims to be a rom-com is just a comedy.chaos said:Possibly, the only one good enough to be kept alive in our memories....memorium said:I'm feeling some His And Her Circumstances, arguably the best high school rom-com ever made.
chaos said:School Rumble is not a rom-com, for me at least, it's purely comedy.
Karekano also had a believable relationship in the plot, which adds to it immensely.
Anime or manga? I thought the manga ending was great. The anime drops the story of the manga quite early!Otaku-san said:chaos said:School Rumble is not a rom-com, for me at least, it's purely comedy.

It failed a conclusive ending.. :?

My comment about School Rumble was mainly because I can still watch it without cringing. If it had good character development (which would include romance in my opinion) then School Rumble would be a better show and more comparable to H&SC, it's casting was certainly a lot better than most so called rom-coms out there in my opinion, it's a shame that the characters were so one dimensional.chaos said:School Rumble is not a rom-com, for me at least, it's purely comedy.

It could be, I've not looked into it enough.chaos said:memorium said:... it's a shame that the characters were so one dimensional.
In a way, I thought that was the main point of it?
