Overseas The Aniplex Thread

What tends to be the rule of thumb with Aniplex titles? Do their titles ever get licenced in the UK at all, or is it a case of if it's released by Aniplex, then it's unlikely to come to the UK.

I'd be interested in the new Blue Exorcist set, but if there's likely to be a cheaper version in the future then I'll wait.

The Kizumonogatari trilogy was released here by MVM, although since Aniplex became part of the Sony monopoly, Aniplex titles have been rare on the ground in the UK. But if there is still a relationship, MVM would be the one to look to for this new version of Kizumonogatari. Blue Exorcist would probably come through UK Crunchyroll if it does, given Manga Ent started with that franchise.

Oh thank god I can save my money for now. I love the trilogy and can't see myself wanting to watch a movie version over it.

Some Aniplex titles have had UK releases in the past, but the impression I've got from things MVM have said on the forums is that Aniplex have become increasingly uncommunicative in recent years. Apparently MVM have enquired about licencing Dreaming Girl multiple times, but no one ever replies to their emails.

Same situation apparently with the final Garden of Sinners movie - which they won't even reprint in the US.
