The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

I wouldn't pay more than £15, and that's pushing it.

I can [some] get ADV (R1) thinpaks for £15 or less with proper packaging, ADV UK sets are just a rip off. They should have made their series go straight to boxset from the start.

The problem with ADV US thinpack sets is that ADV remove ALL extras from the discs. My Chrono Crusade and Get Backers sets are lovely, but it is somewhat annoying that I'm without the extras when the Chrono Crusade extras are supposedly worthwhile.

Shana boxset. With all the talk of broken hubs and scratched discs over at AnimeOnDVD, I'm dreading hearing it drop through my letter box. Package your DVDs properly you twats.

Yep the hubs were broken on mine, though luckily no scratches and played fine.

Bought Buso Renkin Box Set 2.

Dragonball Z season 1
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I demand sanji and his two accomplices, CitizenGeek and Dave, be issued immediate lifetime bans for disturbing the e-peace.

Bought some manga today whilst in town:

Claymore volume 3
D Gray-man Volume 1
Fruits Basket volume 6

may as well thought i'd mention this here as well, but i saw the code geass manga in waterstones today, its probably cause i haven't looked at the UK release dates for a while, but i thought that wasn't due out here for a while? =/

I used to get a period every time I thought about ADV removing their extras, until I took a step back and thought what the hell am I on about? The only decent extras on any ADV shows are the movie from Azumanga Diaoh (not seen the anime, but I know there is a mini-movie), and the extra little things from Chrono Crusade. Luckily I have the Chrono Crusade singles + artbox, but I missed out on the Azumanga artbox so I didn't get the singles. But I've decided I'm just going to get the mini-Azumanga-movie on fansub and buy the thinpak, because the thinpaks are awesome.

The only ADV extras I can think of are ones that involve the English VAs. Actually, the only decent extras I've ever seen are the production interviews on Origin, and the Japanese VA interviews on the Fruits Basket DVDs.

So now I'm just buying the ADV thinpaks. And plus, there are quite a few sets that use the original discs, and have the extras.

It's not as good as the anime,a lot of the plot details are changed for example C.C is found in a crashed plane and lloyd is a part time teacher, also there have been no knightmares involved :?

I expected as much that it wouldn't be as good, but mind you this is only one of the two different manga i think of geass, i haven't seen any sign of nightmare of nunnally, but i expect that will appear at somepoint. I'll need to wait till i get my collectors box set from home before i can read the manga though.

...You paid for the 1st volume of Death Note when you can currently get the box set for £39? Unless you're referring to the anime, and even then you should've waited for the anime box set, there's no hope for you. :p

And I wouldn't personally pay £24 for an Anime Legends quality box set. I'd only ever pay under £20 for ADV UK box sets. At least Chrono Crusade is a good series...

Death Note volume 1 DVD was only £8 and Chrono Crusade was £24. So I only spent like £32? They were good bargains imo... Okay, given that the Boxset of Chrono Crusade looks inadequete to the American version, but hey... It's a boxset? It's far better than paying £69.99

But if you found a way for me to import from America or any import stores using my Maestro card instead of the stupid credit card, then let me know. I'll be happily buying nice boxsets with awesome art work for low low prices. Until then, I have to buy UK versions =P

Angelic Layer character song album and

Mao-Chan Volume 2 which I'm really looking forward to watching though I was disappointed when I saw the bottom of the dvd case which had a hole in it

Haven't bought anything in a while, so...
