'Hoshi o Ou Kodomo: Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below', the new film from Makoto Shinkai is due to open in Japan next May. Media factor has begun to stream teaser footage on it's Youtube channel.

The background art always looks amazing with his films. If this is as good as his previous films then i cant wait to watch this, lets just hope this get licensed early.

Thats if it doesn't get delayed again. I've pre-ordered the Blu-Ray but manga is still unsure if they can release it or not.

From the last thing I heard off them, sound like we are getting the BD, that's why it got delayed.
It wouldn't make sense otherwise, parallel import shouldn't be an issue for the dvd, that's already had severeal non-Japan releases can't see another one as being a reason to need a cool off period.

From the last thing I heard off them, sound like we are getting the BD, that's why it got delayed.

The way I recall it, the BD is indefinitely delayed and the only reason the DVD release is going ahead is that they've essentially given up on the BD.
