I completely agree. Let Japan stream everything, to everywhere, and if local companies think they can add value with a special version they are welcome to compete fair and square.

The Nico Nico Douga streams are free (ignoring the weird Funico...thing). And I don't mind paying - I already have a paid Nico Nico subscription and some points anyway.

The horror stories continue as Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories 2 enters the second season of ghastly encounters. Based on Japanese myths and urban legends, the series mimics the stories told by tradition Japanese storytellers using kamishibai (paper theater). Takashi Shimizu and Noboru Iguchi, who also worked on The Grudge and NuigulumarZ, will each be directing an episode on Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories 2.

Yamishibai 2 will be available to Crunchyroll’s Premium members worldwide ex Asia, with free members being able to watch in the following territories: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, starting on Sunday, July 6th, at 11:30am Pacific Time.

BARAKAMON will be available for Crunchyroll members starting Saturday, July 5, at 12:00 Pacific Time in the following territories: Europe (excluding UK and Ireland), the Middle East, and North Africa.

I'm fully aware of how nn works and how I'm getting a lesser service that includes no TV app and pvr functions locked away like AoD did and we all know how that was.

But to sit here and say Japan wouldn't gouge consumers if they were the only game in town is having your head in the clouds

Not surprising that Animax has Re : Hamatora considering they have the first season. Thankfully, it was so terrible that I have no desire to watch the second one. Not that I'd be watching it on shittymax if I did want to watch it anyway.

Crunchyroll have confirmed that at least 50 titles will be in the Summer line up.

They also confirmed 2 catalog titles (Regions to be confirmed since there's no press announcement) - Great Teacher Onizuka and Toradora!!

Just wanted to say this thread has been very helpful when trying to work out where I can watch the shows I want to follow this season, great work.

As far as I can see, no-one (I include Funimation as "no-one") has announced streaming for Tokyo Ghoul, Hanayamata, Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?, or Tokyo ESP yet?

Funimation has Tokyo Ghoul in N America, Animelab has it in Australia. The other series you mentioned, along with all the shorts bar yamishibai, nobunaga concerto, puri para, fate kaleid/liner season 2, love stage, majimoji rurumo, momo kyun sword, jinsei and blade dance have not yet been announced by anyone.

On top of those already mentioned, the UK is currently missing:
