Stackry (re-shipping/import) infomation/guides

My first order via Stackry arrived with no major problems. It took a week for Sentai's free shipping option to reach Stackry. They emailed me photos of the parcel the same day, and posted it back out within a day of me paying for postage. The global mail option then took nine days to reach me, which used DHL for the US side and Evri for the UK side. Pretty good all round for this time of year.

The only problem I had with the Stackry side of things was how slowly pages loaded on their website. It literally took a few minutes for some pages to load while I was going through the process of adding customs item descriptions, shipping options, etc. I'm not sure if that was a problem with the ad-blocker in my browser or Stackry's server.

Also, it looks like my email address wasn't passed to the couriers, so I didn't receive any notifications from them about the delivery progress. Fortunately the DHL tracking link from Stackry included a redirect with the Evri tracking number, so I could keep an eye on it that way.

I also experienced the slow pages on their website when trying to pay for shipping. It can be a bit riddly at times, but it does eventually get there at least.

And yeah, it seems that the only way to track it on the UK side is to use the Hermes (Evri) tracking number supplied on the DHL tracking; you don't receive email notification when it lands in the UK (at least in my experience).

Another hiccup I've come across is that when you're typing in the product description on Stackry's website, do not use hyphens (-). I used "Blu-ray" on the product description, and when the time came to pay for shipping, it said "no delivery services available for your package". I had to contact customer service where they fixed the issue and told me not to use hyphens on the product description in future. I'm guessing it causes some sort of glitch in their system.

Glad it all worked out for you.

I'm still waiting for my Stackry parcel to make a move. It cleared customs on Monday 2nd, but hasn't made a move ever since (I used DHL Global Mail, as usual). I even checked my Evri tracking, and they haven't even received it yet.

I'd try and contact DHL customer service if I were you (if you haven't already). They'd be your best bet as it's still somewhere in their system.

I was going to wait until the 18th as it would be 15 business days since dispatch, but if you recommend I e-mail them sooner, I'll do so (tomorrow the earliest, as I'll have to be at work in less than an hour).

Hmm, in that case, yeah, it might be worth waiting until the delivery estimate has passed. Don't think it matters too much, but they're definitely the people to speak to if it still hasn't moved by the 18th.

Can one of you folks who've used the DHL Global Mail option clarify something for me?

Last update I have for my current package is "Processing complete at origin-Avenel, NJ, US" I can't recall if that's the last update you get before it hits the UK or not.

Are you referring to DHL Global Mail Direct? After 'Processing completed at origin' it still needs to go through the following steps:
  • Cleared customs
  • Arrived at local distribution center
  • Arrived at delivery terminal
  • Processed at local distribution center
  • Out for delivery
  • Delivered
I believe all of these steps take place in the UK.

Any movement yet? Mine only cleared yesterday (16th) but if yours has moved it'll give me some kind of benchmark given the delays that come with the season
