The Spring Season starts at the end of the month but it's time for AUKN to start preparing for the wave of news that would occur in weeks time.

The first titles to be announced with UK confirmation are Knights of Sidonia Season 2 and Ninja Slayer the Animation. KoS doesn't necessarily state it's coming to the UK but it's pretty much guaranteed since we got the first season and Netflix will once again handle the second season.

In terms of catalogue titles, nothing new yet. Though I wonder if Netflix will say something about The Seven Deadly Sins (final episode airs March 29th) since they have been rumoured to own the streaming rights.

The following list below will show what titles are accessible on UK stream and what titles aren't. In addition there is a list of shows that will appear in the season also.

Have to say, not much is catching my eye from the spring season outwith Ninja Slayer. It may turn out that this is a good opportunity for me to just catch up with series that have now finished airing.
After seeing the character designs for Nagato yuki-chan no shoushitsu, i'm put off, and normally i'm perfectly fine with any iteration of art in a series. I don't honestly see me enjoying that. The disappearance has become quite the cash cow it feels. I loved the film, but the spin-off and retelling ideas have never really matched up to the task. Shame

Having said that, i just realised Gintama airs next month. Scratch everything! Spring looks good again

Haruhi all the way. If Crunchyroll don't pick it up / one of the US services cock blocks them, I'll be seriously pissed.

But Arb, RUPAAAAAAN~!

Words can scarcely express my desire for the new Lupin series to not suck. The Yamamoto/Koike strain has certainly proven that there are still people out there who can write the material well when the opportunity presents itself, but all indications are that this series will be closer to the usual formula, and I really don't want to see it sink back down into the quagmire of mediocrity that has characterised the tv specials for the last decade and change.

Blood Blockade Battlefront also has my attention. I doubt it will skew as close to Baccano as the trailers seem to suggest, but everything I've read about that one has been positive, and I'm expecting it to be solid entertainment at the very least.

oh of course, Rupan sansei, how'd i forget that was this season. Ok it's got a little more interesting again.

Saying which ones were of high interest to me would give the game away ;)!

Based on what I read of the manga - it alas doesn't really skew close to Baccano at all - it's way more fantasy-future than anything if that helps :).

I figured I should make a prediction for which shows that Funimation would most likely pick up for simulcasts this season.

My guesses are:
- Blood Blockade Battlefront [Kekkai Sensen]
- The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki chan [Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu]
- Food Wars! [Shokugeki no Souma]
- Ghost in the Shell: ARISE ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE [Koukaku Kidoutai Arise: Alternative Architecture]
- The Heroic Legend of Arslan [Arslan Senki]
- High School DxD BorN
- Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku
- My Love Story! [Ore Monogatari!!]
- Plastic Memories
- Seraph of the End [Owari no Seraph]
- Show By Rock!!
- Triage X
- Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches [Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo]

Maybes include Digimon Adventure tri., Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? [Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka], Kyoukai no Rinne, Lupin the Third 2015 and/or Punchline. Sound! is a possible one given they got Free! Eternal Summer and some other KyoAni titles.

Aniplex will probably get Gunslinger Stratos, He Is an Ultimate Teacher [Denpa Kyoushi] and perhaps Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid if they're interested.

I suspected as much. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

So much that I'm looking forward to this upcoming season - sequels of KinMosa, Teekyuu, OreGairu, Danna ga Nani wo... and the second part of F/SN, plus spin-offs of Haruhi, Teekyuu and TesaBu. Then there's adaptations of Re-Kan! and DanMachi, both of which I know to be great series. And so much new stuff that seems interesting as well. Particularly looking forwards to Denpa Kyoushi and Mikagura Gakuen.

Show By Rock and Plastic Memories are my wildcards of the season.

I'll be trying out everything other than sequels of unwatched series and some kiddy stuff though.

Oh and Punchline is on the OP list twice.

I'm really excited for Seraph too - I think if it plays its cards right it could potentially be the next big Shonen thing and breath new life into the popularity of the manga version. It's from the guys who did Attack on Titan so hopefully they can recreate even a fraction of their success there.

It'll be interesting to see how the second half of Unlimited Blade Works handles the 'sex' scene moment with Rin.

I sort of missed out on the Winter season (I'll catch up if/when any come out on Blu-Ray), but there's quite a few in the spring I'm interested in.

Re-Kan!
Rin-ne
Owari no Seraph
Gunslinger Stratos
Arslan Senki (this looks special to me)
Kekkai Sensen
Houkago no Pleiades
Ninja Slayer

I'm sure a few I'm not watching will turn out very good and I'll play catch up on those (either streaming or Blu-Ray)
Fate/Stay Night, Knights of Sidonia, Yuki chan, and GITS will be things I watch on Blu-Ray.

Soem good-uns in the Winter season thus far (if they don't end badly that is), have a nice time catching up on em :)

A few in there I'll be checking out too. I'm hoping to watch:

Arslan Senki
Denpa Kyoushi
Grisaia no Rakuen (may watch while airing, saw the first season but it's not a priority for me)
Kekkai Sensen
Hibike! Euphonium
Yuki-Chan
Ore Monogatari!!
Nisekoi 2
Owari no Seraph
Punchline
Shokugeki no Souma
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken 2

0_o

Might check out How To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon & Dxd 3 (BF wants to watch both so may watch it with him), Gunslinger Stratos, Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku, Plastic Memories & Re-Kan.

Fate will be watched once its aired, nothing but a marathon for that show.

Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic & SNAFU once I've watched the first seasons.

Busy bloody season of lots of potential, it's pretty mental! not sure how I'll be able to keep up ..might have to throw some into the backlog.
