Spring 2014 Streaming - Future Card B.F. & World Fool News

Re: Spring 2014 Streaming - Fairy Tail (2014) on CR!

For those who are wondering about Wakanim, they confirmed that they will not be getting any of the new Spring 2014 titles. However they have something else planned:
Hello, no simulcast (but some surprises), we are working on the new version of the website (completely new) for October, better correct everything with all the feedbacks we received and adds new features and new design.

Re: Spring 2014 Streaming - Fairy Tail (2014) on CR!

I've heard those words before *coughs*AOD*coughs*.

Wakanim improved to the point where watching Space Dandy was fine (until the HD screw up with ep 12...and the slight delay to ep 13), so maybe things will be better. Offering stuff that we wouldn't get otherwise is the smart way to go I think, like with Space Dandy. Adding more back catalogue would be an interesting move too. Wakanim suffers when they try to simulcast shows that Crunchyroll are also streaming, since they consistently offered a worse service for KlK and SF.

I'm sceptical as ever naturally, plus I'm still not a fan of the DTO model at all, but I'll keep an open mind towards Wakanim. I'm more forgiving of its faults since I can watch simulcasts for free anyway. I'm still bitter about shelling out a year's fees for AoD if you can't tell :p

Re: Spring 2014 Streaming - Fairy Tail (2014) on CR!

If Andrew is hovering around, is the 'makeover' for Wakanim just for the UK or will it be a change across their French site too?

Re: Spring 2014 Streaming - Fairy Tail (2014) on CR!

I wouldn't be surprised if it's simply because the vast majority of the Spring 2014 shows just don't appeal to Andrew, so he's decided to focus on improving other areas instead. I mean, it does look to be quite a weak season in comparison to recent ones.

Well he picked up two very strong shows to my mind with Kill La kill & Space Dandy. I cannot see anything in the spring 2014 line-up that will get anywhere near the quality of those two so I don't blame him.

Card games not enough for you? Aching for a video game adaptation? Crunchyroll once again to the rescue.

Don't worry, Sega's HEROBANK will surely fulfil your video-game spinoff needs. Hiroshi Kamiya and Miyuki Sawashiro are even in it.

I didn't twig when I saw these on the Lineup page, but I added these together to the ANN encyclopedia a little while ago. They share a timeslot and a website so I assume the episodes will be half length.

Re: Spring 2014 Streaming - 20+ Fuji J-Drama incoming

Something something Black Bullet. Yuuki Kaji is the main lead so that's one minus strike. Then again he surprised me with his performance in Titan.

The ground shook, the mountains crumbled, and out came the earth-shattering announcement: Crunchyroll will begin streaming the Black Bullet anime starting tomorrow.

Black Bullet is set to broadcast every Tuesday starting on April 8, at 9:30am Pacific Time for its premium members, and free members able to watch one week later (Please note that French-speaking territories have a 6-month holdback). More information can be found on http://www.crunchyroll.com/blackbullet.

Background and story

Based on the light novel written by Shiden Kanzaki and illustrated by Saki Ukai, Black Bullet takes place in an alternate future where mankind was defeated by a parasitic virus, called Gastrea. Humanity is now forced to live within walls made of material that is able to subdue the Gastrea virus. Soon, children with the ability to control the Gastrea virus, a consequence of being born with the virus inside them, are discovered, and are used to fight against the Gastrea in Civil Securities teams that pair them with a normal human.

Yuuki Kaji, Eren from Attack on Titan fame, stars as the main male lead, Rentaro Satomi, a normal human paired up with Enju Aihara, played by Rina Hidaka, also known for her role as Silica in Sword Art Online. The opening theme song is “black bullet” by fripSide, and famed Nico-singer-turned-professional Nagi Yanagi sings “Tokohana” as the ending theme.

Black Bullet will be available to Crunchyroll’s audience in the following territories: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Turkey, Latin America, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Middle East, the Arab League, France and DOM/TOM, Belgium, Switzerland, Andorra, Luxembourg, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco.

I love Kaji Yuuki! But unfortunately the show looks annoying, so I might have to betray him and ignore it ^^;

MAGICA WARS announced, available for the UK : http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2 ... wars-anime

"Based on the iOS game by DMM Games, personifies Japan's 47 prefectures. In this fantasy, ordinary girls get magical powers to fight against evils in Japan.
“Gods foresaw the greatest harm would happen to Japan, divide own power and give it off as a messenger of God (“Shinshi”) in Japan to gather mediums, or “Magica” who can expel the “impurity”. With the magical weapon, “Magica” will fight to stop evils in Japan.”

There will be 26 four-minute long episodes."

Someone picked up on the forum announcement of this title that they accidentally left a 'No Game No Life' image on which was quickly edited out so expect that one today, hopefully for the UK.

Hoping CR add more announcement images, there's some other shows I want to check out that haven't been announced yet & seeing as some of the bigger shows have yet to be announced (No Game No Life, Hanamonogatari & Mekaku City Actors) ... ehhh..
