well movies is not good start when introducing Anime to viewers episodes are better because content and story are portrayed straight away. Movies take a while because of length and also it's not a good startilmaestro said:How many anime movies have you seen?johnrulz said:i don't personally wanna watch Anime movies because they drag on and they take forever to finish and they take majority of the time slot for Anime.

There's only 2 ways anime will be on UK TV anytime soon..
1) AXN Launches and brings an anime BLOCK with it. This will probably be post-midnight anyway =/
2) Adult Swim launches and brings Bleach and FMA etc.
Also, don't be knocking on the Pogeymonz and YGO's, dude. I strongly recommend reading the mangas of both. Has people dieing and whatnot.
And American animation aswell. Seriously, watch CN after 11pm. Sure there's no AS, but we still got some funny stuff right thar
Total Drama Island Is/Was on Disney XD since it's a Teletoon show (Canadian channel)Invisible Crane said:Paradox295 said:A 24/7 Anime channel will definately not happen.

Has CN ever shown something like Total Drama Island over in the UK?...seriously when it comes to some of the sort of inbetween shows (as in shows not for kids but not exactly adult as well) we rarely ever get them
I'm personally hoping AXN is a kind of a replacement to Bravo. Mainly specialising in cult action shows, anime and some comedy for good measureJ_C_X said:I do think AXN will air some sort of anime and comedy, they do own the international rights to Blood+ and Boondocks, two adult swim US shows.

I'm hoping we atleast get Regular Show. If they bleep or cut bits out I'll raise hell
No, seriously, how many have you seen? Most people consider movies the best way to introduce people to anime.johnrulz said:well movies is not good start when introducing Anime to viewers episodes are better because content and story are portrayed straight away. Honestly, this isn't funny. I know it's an "internet meme" or whatever, and I know it's about as well-hidden a spoiler as the key twist to The Sixth Sense at this point, but there is always one person out there who doesn't know, and who doesn't want to know.Paradox295 said:Spoiler for Cowboy Bebop:

Dude, the guy walks in with a Naruto avatar saying most anime movies suck. Of course he doesn't know yet and that's the whole reason I did it.ilmaestro said:Honestly, this isn't funny. Not saying it wasn't harsh. It was and I was just trolling
Jayme said:What anime films you seen? Because, your an idiot. Most of everything sucks, you just got to find the good stuff.
The "it's my opinion" defence annoys me to no end. My brother uses it.
This might be getting off-topic, but what does the content that is allowed to be shown on children's shows have to do with those channels closing down? Surely those are 2 unrelated facts.U.K a quiet strict in terms of what to put on and that content should not be on a children's programme that's why you see programmes such as playboy and television X closing down and reducing because it's not appropriate to show and now i think it's completeley removed

Also, as I'm sure I pointed out earlier, not all anime showings in UK have failed. The Anime Network block was pretty successful, but closed due to ADV's main division (licensing and distro in the US) failing.
Edit: Took out the question as to your comment on anime movies, considering you don't want to defend your opinion.
