Simulwatch Planning Thread - Suggest & Discuss

The momentum appears to be with Fujiko, I'd be happy with that. I've only watched it once and that was the Manga release, it gives me a chance to revisit it and make sure my AL discs work. A Koike Lupin season doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, the thematic threads watching a couple of similar things seemed to work quite well. I would also be down for Megazone at some point because I have still not seen it.

Other ideas that come to mind after glancing at my shelves for a couple of minutes careful consideration are NieA_7 (finally available in the UK, thanks MVM) and/or Haibane Renmei on an ABe theme, the Patlabor OVAs and movies (which form a seperate continuity to the TV series, which would be far too long, I think a few people got the movies from the AL sale). All of those would be relatively quick watches, I was going to suggest Le Chevalier D'Eon as a bit of a wildcard, but it doesn't look like it's easy to (legally) obtain any more. Maybe Last Exile instead? Looks like that's on CR.

Absolutely not wedded to any of the above though. Some might even have been done and I've forgotten (or didn't take part), just throwing them out there as they're all things I wouldn't mind going back to with fresh eyes.

I'd be happy with all the above including Last Exile, as I have the physical editions for them that I am yet to watch. Travelling at the moment so could join in for the physical media stuff when I'm back around NYE. May be easier to start with a streaming one, which may be easier to access, so more people can join in and set a date to start - maybe from this Friday with the holidays coming up?

If it's difficult for people to commit, then I was thinking of a new thread like the viewing journal one, but for simulwatches, so if people feel strongly enough to chat/join in about something they're watching, they can.

Hmm. I wouldn’t be adverse to starting on Friday, but I’ve still to get a poll up to see what people want to go for. If we get a conclusive result by the end of tomorrow, we could aim for a Friday start, otherwise maybe wait another day or so and see what develops.

I like the idea of that - might be worth a try for one-shots like films in particular?
