Rejoice Social outsiders, it's the Autumn series thread!

Ryo Chan

Symphogear
Yes it's almost the start of another season of anime

so what do we have to look forward too?

well.

11eyes

Fantasy anime taken from a hentai, could be interesting, but no hentai makes Ryo :(

Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu

From the creator of Macross and Escasflowne comes...... ummm...... i have no idea, i'll let this pic explain it.

anyamaru-tantei-kiruminzuu.jpg

Asura Cryin' 2

if you liked season 1, watch it, if you didn't, watch it then blog about how anime originality is down the toilet

Baka-Kyoudai

again, i'm walking as fast as possible in the other direction

Battle Spirits: Shounen Gekiha Dan

Quick CN/Nick toons, Bakugan will only be christmas #1 for 1 year, get your replacement now!

Darker Than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini

Season 1 is just hitting the UK shores, and it's Studio bones, what more do you want?

Fairy Tail

Watch out Bleach/One Piece/Narutards, theres a new shounen in town, and juding from the manga ratings, it's gonna be a good one.

and we finnaly have the first show i'm interested in \o/ *ahem moving on*

InuYasha: Final Act

and there was me thinking it finished a couple of years back, who says theres no originality in anime! Now if they'd just go back and refinish Shaman King..............

Jungle Emperor Leo

Aka Kimba the white lion 2009

Anime....... originality...... yeah

Kämpfer

A story about a boy who wakes up to find he's magically transformed into a girl..... a idea that's sure to appeal to any type of fan

ok maybe only 1 type of fan, now i'm sure this is a bad hentai movie with the ecchiness ripped out of it's soul

To Be continued

and so we contiune down our rocky path and after seeing part 1, lets hope there's less speed bumps on the way.

Kiddy Girl-and

Remember Kiddy Grade? the show that everyone passed up expecting it to be full of loli? well it's back, set 50 years after the setting of first season, and knowing how Eclaire goes through bodies, she'll have another 3 new ones before we're done.

And it's Ryo Chans pick of the season

Kobato

Clamps entry to the anime season, very sweet and pretty anime however it does have the advantage of having Megumi Nakajima singing the ending theme \o/

Kūchū Buranko

again summed up by 1 pic

kouchou-buranko.jpg

and moooooooovvvviiiingg on

Miracle Train ~Ooedo-sen e Youkoso~

As featured on last weeks Imagine-nation, the show is apparently the first in a line of trying to "westernize" anime with a lotta bishy's

dunno what Japan thinks of the west, but it may go well with any Take That loving anime fans.

Natsu no Arashi! Akinaichuu

Aparently you have to like season 1 to like this, i can't say i watched it, so i guess i'll leave it up to you to deside if maid's suit your fancy

may end up here soonish on Crunchyroll like season 1 did though.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezze

Another sequal, ever heard of this from the 2008 season? no? probually cause it was voted the worst series of the year. May wanna keep a few paces away from season 2.

Nyan Koi!

mix the love triangle of Macross with the ummmm cats from Chii's new home and i guess you find this, honestly 1 show and eveyone goes neko crazy, after all, we only have 1 queen on Nyan.

Queen's Blade: Gyokuza wo Tsugumono

You know, i'm beginning to think Autumn is the season of sequals, nah, i'm sure this is a unique series.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Japan covering an ancient chinese story? never heard of that before.

What? Ikkitousen? Dynasty Warriors? never heard of them

So far from post 1 I'm only up for Inu Yasha, and I'm happy to wait a long time for a boxed set even then ;)

Of the rest it's just the new Queens Blade for sure and probably that train guy thing, both of which will probably be R2 imports. Might give Tatakau Shisho and Sangoku Engi a spin if they come out in cheap sets sometime.

Not a terrifically exciting season for me at the moment. I'm sure it won't help me catch up on my backlog even so.

Fairy Tail has always looked interesting, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to watch it with an open mind, seeing as it's a blatent One Piece rip-off

Just watch it, it'll will have good animation and it's definitely a series that's entertaining, it's not bad but it's not good either, or just do what everyone else on the internet is doing and watching for Aya Hirano voicing Lucy and Simon's seiyuu voicing the lead.

Trapeze, Fairy Tail, Queen's Blade season 2 and a few others I'm gonna pick up.

Definately goona watch Romance of the 3 Kingdoms. I've watched the shallow ecchi version and seen the Terracotta Army, now I get to see the anime! :D

I'll watch Fairy Tail for the sake of finding out what the animation quality is like--given that I haven't enjoyed what I've read of the manga. I'll also be in it for the music--for it'll be interesting to see how it compares with Groove Adventure Rave.

I'm looking forward to Fairy Tail coz i enjoyed the three volumes of the manga that i have read so far. Also the new Darker than Black should be worthwhile. I heard there is a new ABe series called Despera, is that out this autumn by any chance?

I'll try the darker than black, I had a look at part of the first episode and it looked good, I'll have to watch some more. Might look into a few of the others. I never really looked at InuYasha but heard a lot about it, is it any good?

I've herd mixed opinions on Inuyasha, so I'm tempted by it also just to make up my own mind. The people I know ho have seen it make it sound like marmite - they ever loved it or hated it. I've seen a lot of positive reviews for it, but I checked a couple of people's worst ten anime list a couple of days ago and saw Inuyasha on 2 of those lists

Kaempf looks absolutely horrifically awful. It's a crying shame so much anime is created to appeal to the fetishes of certain anime fans rather than exploring interesting themes and such. The only thing that interests me there is Jungle Emperor Leo, based entirely on the fact that it's based on a Tezuka manga/anime. Oh and just fyi, the word is "rejoice". No 'y' :]

Of the list so far, only the 2nd series of Darker than Black really draws my interest. The first series had a fair bit of hype but ended up falling flat in the end, still there was promise so perhaps it might benefit from a continuation.
