I usually watch on a site called [Mod edit: illegal streaming site removed] but half the time they don't have episodes so you end up getting into a series and not having next ep to watch.

Comedy/Romance:

Seto no Hanayome
Ai Yori Aoshi
Ah! My Goddess
Kare Kano
Nyan Koi!
Love Hina

and here's some you may like to check out, though they're not strictly comedy and probably have very little to no romance:

Desert Punk
Full Metal Panic
Rurouni Kenshin

i hope this helps :)

got love hina & ah! my goddess :p

I will check out the others though!

thank you for your recommendations "memorium" :)

I'll advise you to watch Ghost Hunt, you can pick it up quite cheap now. Ghost Stories is another good horror, I recommend that you get this via other means than streaming as the dub has turned it into a comedy.

Others I recommend are;

-Welcome To The NHK
-Full Metal Panic
-Samurai Champloo
-Suzuka (manga)
-Ai Yori Aoshi (manga)
-Planetes
-Elemental Gelade
-Ah! My Goddess
-Cowboy Bebop

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu seems pretty perfect for what you want..

Agreed FMPF is win, and you don't need to have seen the first series since there's more or less no relation so long as you have the basic understanding that Sousuke is an elite merc assigned to protect Kaname.

OT:
DEATH NOTE! (which is more drama than horror but it's goood)
Genshiken (slice of life Otaku series, but it was enjoyable for me even before I knew anything about anime)
Millennium Actress (romantic drama)
Paranoia Agent (psychological thriller that's kind of horrorish right?=P)
Trigun starts off as a comedy but gets more dramatic as it goes on, but it's worth a go =)

Please be careful not to talk about sites which stream or offer for download any anime/manga/games which are not being legally distributed. I have removed the name of the one you mentioned.

Supporting legal streams is always best as it means money goes back to the creators. Crunchyroll, The Anime Network and Funimation are some of the companies who offer legally streamed anime to UK viewers (availability varies per series).

Lessee! Do you download or import, or just buy British? I'll recommend some for you to chase up, I love fantasy so here are some of my faves:

Have you checked out Noein?

It's available rather cheaply online in its entirety from the major retailers. Cracking show, with a nice mix of different elements.

Sorry I didn't realise you can't mention sites.

Thank you for all your recommendations I will try check out as many as poss that I haven't already got or seen.

What are good safe legal sites to watch on? (if thats a question you can ask? if not sorry)

Just sites that offer illegal dl. Everything else is fine.

sure is.

Funimation website, crunchyroll, Manga UK - all of them have legal anime available.

I think you'd probably enjoy:

Mushi-shi
Kino's Journey
Haibane Renmei
Eureka Seven

Also, give Texhnolyze a try too. You never know.

Given you said horror, i would recommend giving Higuarshi no naku koro ni a try (Higurashi: When They Cry). Also on Funi's website they are streaming Shikabane Hime, which you may want to have a look at. It starts off slow but builds into a nice little show, not a stunner but its enjoyable. Oh and not to forget Fate/Stay Night which MVM are releasing over here still. Another personal favourite is Lunar Legend Tsukihime, although to be prefectly honest i would recommend the manga more then anime adaption but you should be able to find it quite cheap these days and its still worth a watch, just for the soundtrack alone.

@stu not to nitpick or anything but i wouldn't say Eva is about Armageddon, i would say its more about Evolution, but i'll let you off since you've only seen the first Rebuild of Evangelion movie ;)
