Hmm..Student Council's Discretion, Ouran High School Host Club, Golden Time, Mayo Chiki! & The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior

Blood C. I've watched up to episode 9 and it's now officially doing my head in so I'm giving it a 6/10 based on where I'm up to.

I'm so sick of Saya!!!

She keeps saying how she will protect everyone yet everyone she's supposed to protect has died so far bar the class rep! She's annoying and sh*t at her job frankly lol.

Robotics Notes - 8/10

I finally got round to watching this after about half a year of putting off seeing the second half to the show. It was better than both I remembered and expected - basically, Frau is still the best thing ever and I like that they gave her decent screen time this time round. Things start to unravel a little in the last few eps and some major suspension of disbelief is needed, but all in all the strong characterisation does a lot to save things.

Date A Live Season 1 - 8/10

Watched all 13 episodes over just a couple days and really enjoyed it. Thought it had a great blend of action, comedy and romance. The plot is quite similar to The World God Only Knows but in Date A Live, Shido has to make spirits fall in love with him so he can seal their powers and stop them from causing spacial quakes. Even though the plot wasn't the best i found this a really fun show to watch, i probably could have watched all 13 episodes in one day if i really wanted as i just wanted to watch more once i finished an episode. At the end of the series, Shido had to make his foster sister fall in love with him to save her life so that was quite awkward.

Definitely became one of my favourite harem shows, can't wait to watch Season 2 when it's released on Blu-ray :D

Yeah when thinking of another comedy/romance show to compare to TWGOK was all i could think due to quite a few similarities i noticed while watching it so if you like TWGOK & harem shows i'd recommend it :)

Does Date A Live have a dub yet? Sounds like something I would like :)

It does (a Funimation dub that is) and it's not recommended. My experience with the dub was that I felt the voices did not match the characters and also make me think I missed important dialogue so I went straight into the Japanese dub during the 2nd/3rd episode.

This was the first show that I had to change the audio from English to Japanese due to this. Of course this is based on my opinion so it might differ from others, I remember Mangaranga disliking it also. :|

Tekkenkinkreet 7.5/10

Good but strange film, I liked the art work bar the character designs, which at times resembled that bloke from the nik nak ads. I thought it was a strange choice aswell given the more serious nature of the storyline. Can't see me watching it again though, so I'll add it to my pile to get rid of but it is worth checking out.

Sword of Stranger (rewatch) 10/10

Wow, blew me away again.

For some reason I had been putting off rewatching this. I loved it the first time and after sitting through it for a 2nd time but seeing it in high definition glory, I still don't know why I put it off.

The main characters were all great, the young kid and his dog had a lovely relationship that continued to blossom throughout alongside one of my favourite characters, No Name, he certainly is one of those characters, a spike spiegal type, flawed but you route for the guy and you can't get enough of him. The music was also outstanding, in fact the best I've heard in anime, and one of the best in a movie period. The highest praise I can give this is that only a certain film trilogy named Lord of the Rings has made me feel the same way whilst watching, every emotion hits you hard from the exciting fight scenes (good old bones for you), to the slower sentimental moments, to the joy of the relationship between the 3 main characters. That was in no small part to the animation which was superb and music also superb, in fact some of the music reminded me of those Lord of the Rings tbh. A true Masterpiece of film making.

Blade of the Phantom Master - 6/10

Some good action pieces but other than that there's not a lot else. At times it was a little boring tbh. Ended quite nicely though.

Anohana - The Flower we saw that Day

A nice and touching show about friendship, loss, moving on etc. The last few episodes were really heavy on the melodrama and I admit it got to me at several points in the story. Will likely buy the movie now even though I've heard half of it is pretty much a retelling of the series (?)

8/10

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (rewatch) - 10/10

Darkness, Vampires, kick ass Bounty Hunters and a cool as hell main character named D, what else do you want.

I love the atmosphere of this film, everytime I see the opening scene I'm always wowed. It has the cool action that I like and a nice ending to add to the points above. It has everything you want from a dark vampire movie.

Now I just need the Blu-Ray, here's hoping Discotek’s release isn't locked or that someone over here picks it up for release.

Vampire Hunter D (rewatch) 7/10

Probably not the best idea to watch it straight after VHD: Bloodlust but I actually think it helped because I just wanted more D. Despite its age and some horrible background drawings* I actually enjoyed this. I couldn't remember it properly and was intrigued to see what happened. D is still cool even if he's not drawn aswell :D

*those horrible multi coloured stripes, that they use to show speed or someone jumping in the air. Hated them back in the day and still don't why they thought they were a good idea.

Blood The Last Vampire (rewatch) 9/10

More Vampire goodness & another one with a great atmosphere. I know people say it's short and want more but sometimes less is more. I certainly love it :D

Does remind me though I seriously need to get round to watching Blood + and buying Hellsing Ultimate, although I'm still waiting for the last 2 eps to be released before I do buy it.
