Naruto shippuden vol 20

I remember a time when naruto was good in part 1 and in the beginning of part 2 but thanks to these damn fillers and over the time attacks and over the top story tellings .........

The original naruto had mystery and you wanting to find out what happened in the past but not the series just keeps repeating the same bloody message....

.friendship
Friendship
Work hard to become the best
A nation is your family ........hold on

Is the Japanese government trying to brainwash children to follow these massages?

Anyways

Even tho theres a big war coming I'm not really in to naruto as much I used to be and bleach is better then naruto bit one piece is better

Sea princess and fire child

I see

Peter pan
The little mermaid
Romeo and Juliet

In this awkward anime......it has a good scenario but it was too rushed and it was trying to be too Disney

The main villain doesn't even make an appearance

The animation is old
The characters are awkward

It's scenario is good really.good but it's soooooo awkward to watch and rushed and well......stupid

Animal treasure island

This is a harmless anime but omg its so childish I want to watch a high school anime it's that bad...It's like one of those hanbarbera cartoons if they had the rights to the book of this.

It's just long winded and I wouldn't recommended.

5/10

Puss in boots

This defiantly does seem like a hanabarbera cartoon it does show if you watch it...puss in this is likable but the other charecters are so bland and or stereotypes of the times.

Again this movie isn't that good just like animal island but there harmless. But I think it's better then animal island

Robotech love live alive

It's a recap of the first series but it's great to see the series.

Wish they continued it tho

7/10

Lupin the 3rd Napoleons dictionary

Like all lupin movies it's always something big and this time the whole world is after lupin to get a hold of his granddads 200 billion fortune.

As usual it's great to see lupin and goemon the detective fujiko ect

Lots of stuff from over the weekend

X (2002 TV version) - 9/10

Of all the anime I expected to completely destroy me emotionally, it wasn't this one. But it did - Arashi and Sorata's plot in this is absolutely heartbreaking. I've always adored CLAMP's art style - but in this I feel like it's them at their most 'pure', and actually given justice by decent production values unlike xxxHolic and Tsubasa. I love shows where it pushes the concept of what it means to be human to the limit, and we see the very best and very worst in people - and X seems to capture the peak of this.

Moon Phase - 7/10

The character designs in this are really cute, and whoever came up with the idea of 'neko mimi mode' deserves a gold medal, but I found this a bit of a slog to get through in places. I think in many ways it's symptomatic of early Shaft works - like the arguably better Negima?!, a lot of their later ingredients are in place, but the styling isn't quite to the level of finesse in Madoka or Monogatari. The comedy is much more hit and miss than Negima too. Monica Rial's voicing of Hazuki completely carries this too - though she's pretty brilliant in everything she does.

Paprika - 8/10

Visually stunning - probably one of the best Blu-Ray transfers I've seen; everything just pops from the screen in terms of colour and clarity. It lacks the darkness of Perfect Blue though, and the longer running time Paranoia Agent benefits from - in places it feels a little too similar to the latter, visually better, but not as well executed. As an hour and a half showcase of just how good Kon can be though, it's definitely represents some of his most accessible work.

5 CM Per Second - 10/10

I adore Shinkai's stuff, and this really hit the spot (although the Manga DVD edition is horrible - it's got ghosting and shaky lines everywhere) - it's got all the key Shinkai ingredients; trains, endless blue skies, sunsets, real-to-life photograph-style art. The ending lacks the sense of closure I think Garden of Words nails better, but the second story (Cosmonaut) is jaw-dropping in its power. Simply magical stuff.

One Piece Season Five Voyage Two

Good start & ending blocks of episodes but the middle block of them was as boring as anything being made up of episodes constructed of mostly recycled old material but with the same new bit repeated each time. If it was a money saving exercise it was a blasted annoying one.

8/10 a point knocked off for the recycled episodes.

Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo

It is absolutely, 100% completely delusional on my part, but I do feel that in watching this I have thwarted a conspiracy involving Funimation, Hideaki Anno, Khara and even the Japanese government, all to prevent me from doing so.

And much to my surprise, I found the Hong Kong blu-ray to be a slickly produced product. It’s English friendly and a breeze to navigate.

Then I got to the main feature and that’s where the good news continued. Picture quality boasts the same vivid colour palette as the first two movies, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is no bad thing. I was also highly impressed by the lossless 5.1 PCM soundtrack. On my home theatre system, it was composed and agile with dialogue and sound effects complementing rather than battling each other. Bass performance was a truly fulminous one as showcased by the many impacts and explosions.

And now I get to the best bit: the subtitles. I was expecting – dreading, actually – that I’d be sitting through Engrish subs. No sir, what was presented was a quality job. The grammar was sound, timing was solid, and the font was large enough to follow easily – way better than Funimation’s subtitling – yet it never intruded on the action.

All of the above and I haven’t even touched on the actual feature yet. The new take on the story and the new directions it has taken intrigues me. I am definitely looking forward to the next (final?) instalment of this series. The animation continues the good work from the predecessors. It’s still fluid and nimble, as highlighted by the piano duet between Shinji and Kaoru. The battle scenes are just as lively, and these also showcase the many magnificent CG effects.

In parting, I do have this message to Funimation: You can keep your North American release; I’ll be holding on to the Hong Kong version as it represents a viable English-speaking alternative.

9/10 it is then.

When I first watched 3.0 I was quite skeptical about it. I was expecting a new take on the Evangelion story straight after 2.22 like the previews were playing out, but instead I get confusion and silence from Shinji's point of view (which I guess was the whole point of 3.0, to witness and bear the suffering of everything from his perspective and convincing himself that he should take the 'blame' for everything).

It was actually from reading theories and explanations on EvaGeeks is where I understood the film better so overall I'm happy with the direction just as long as Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 clears the confusion up with some explanation. In fact I remember reading somewhere that a fifth film could work in the Jo-Ha-Kyu movie mix.

I'm probably rambling and causing so much confusion. But pretty much I sort of get the idea of where 3.0 is going.

One Piece season five voyage three

Dynamic set of episodes, have to shave a point off though as I really could have done without the repeated scenes of Robin being abused.

8/10
You like robin?
I do she's the most level headed member of the crew

Durarara!! S1

Finally finished the first series, after a hiatus of nearly five years...

There's probably not much more that can be said about the series at this stage, so I'll keep it brief. It's unfortunate that Durarara will never escape the comparisons with Baccano, as, beyond the broadly similar structure, it's a very different kettle of fish. It certainly doesn't have the dramatic weight of its illustrious predecessor, but I thought the characterisation was more or less on a par with it, and ultimately, Durarara's narrative feels equipped to cope with its belated second season in a way that I'm not sure Baccano would have been.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora 9/10
i have a soft spot for anime like this show
the premise of the show is sad however it doesnt dwell on being sad its more shows how even in a hopless situation there can be some hapiness this show will warm your heart during both sad and funny or happy moments ( personally i ended up in one of those moments where i was teary eyed with the tragicness of the romance but still so moved by the characters)
the show is only 6, 25 min episodes put packs a lot in the only reason i gave it a 9/10 instead of 10 is well what show is perfect i don't think one exists and the art style is not brilliant just average

(my English literature skills are horrifying if you do watch the show tell me what you think of it)

Princess knight

This series could of been over with in 26 episodes.......this series is mostly filler but it does have important episodes but it could of been over within that time and so on.

It's mostly about the duke trying to uncover that the prince's is a girl to get the crown.

I heard that this is the father of all anime the guy who started it all and I can see how and why

He made another series called astro boy which is very similar in charecters design.

I had a hard time getting though this series but thank God I can now watch something else and here's why

The dub is AWFUL
The editing is AWFUL
The story mostly filler is AWFUL......but the important episodes that are interesting are somewhat good
The animation has aged terribly
The characters cardboard cut outs

I'd say this......It's bad but I blame the editing of the US release from the 70s but even without the editing the series it self like I said was bad but that's because it has aged but I'm sure back in Tue day this was good like my generation was Dragon ball z.

Princess knight is also cheesy.

It sorta reminds me of hanabarbera cartoons too.

Even tho it's bad I sorta have a soft spot for it but not enough to give it a good score

4/10

Animation terrible
Story....the important part ok
The characters..cardboard cut outs
Editing the worst.

Watched all of Princess Jellyfish.

10/10 for how much I enjoyed it and how it made me feel.
0/10 for how they ended it. Was like they just decided to stop the series half way through. Wanted to see if the two OTP's I wanted would see fruition! :(

Googled and no Season 2 in sight since it's been so many years. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Feeling incomplete after that.

I know I know it's upsetting when they do that I know

Blood Lad

A solid 7/10 I'd say. Would be higher if it was longer, as at only 10 episodes it ends on a huge cliffhanger and no season 2 in sight (from what I gather in Japan it sold horribly, sadly). Guess I'll just have to check out the manga sometime.

Chis sweet home

To be honest when I saw the cover for this I thought it be all cutesy cutesy and stuff and I was right but there was nothing wrong with that.

It's about a new kitten and gets separated from her mother and she gets lost and a family finds her and takes her in.......what's up with these people these people must have nothing else to do with there lives......anyways we see chi learning about life and new things with this new family.

and to be honest ....the everyday life of this one little kitten is such a delightful thing to watch...even tho the episodes of like 3 mins long it's worth the watch...

It has its fun momments
It's funny moments
And one sad one that made me cry

It's not a deep story or a sad story or a epic story or anything like that but it's such a very nice anime to watch....

If you like cats give it a go.

9/10

Enjoyment 9/10
Animation 7/10
Characters .....delightful

That's season 1 just got to get season 2

Unusually for an action series I like all the main characters even Luffy, not something I can say for Naruto for example.

One Piece Season Five Voyage Four

Decent end to the best arc storyline so far.

Poor Merry well she served the crew well. That's the closest I think we've seen Luffy to losing a fight. Robin got her revenge I see.

9/10
