That tin is really cool, did they release one for Bleach series 1 as well?
I might've waited if I'd known about that.

Gurren Lagann: Part 1 Limited Edition
RRP: £54.99
...pass.

What's go panda go like, any good?
Obviously I'm interested just 'cause it's Hayao Miyazaki.

At long last the first Bleach movie comes out, will get that.As for Gurren Laggen, just what does Beez think it's doing, £35 for one volume!!£55 for the ltd edition. Some how I can't see too many takers for the show at that price.
I must admit I was one who was intrested in GL but that was before I saw the price .For the price of one volume of GL you could buy almost two other anime series on region 1.

Two discs per volume to be sure, but if Manga can retail their two disc sets at £20-£25...

You could buy 10 episodes each of Claymore and Darker than Black at the price of the Beez TTGL set.

Already have the lot except for the pandas, which looks suspiciously like something my husband would buy (I'm surprised he hasn't yet).

LE aside the GL isn't cripplingly expensive for the UK if you take Manga's cheap sets out of the picture. Unfortunately it's difficult to do that when they're dominating release lists lately and are getting us used to receiving a lot of great anime for beautiful prices. I bought the sub-only R1 double discs for GL ages ago before Beez started being more aggressive about their UK releases so it's not a comparison I personally have to make I guess.

Looking forward to the Panda review!

I feel like buying TTGL from Amazon on LE (assuming that is by the box art cover on Amazon) because it's a LE. But... I tried getting into it and it doesn't seem to be working x_x

I won't bother, it seems. Nothing else interest me, so it's back to buying old anime that's already released.

While I don't want the people employed by Beez to not be getting any money, I feel the UK anime industry would be better without Beez. I think Manga would've gotten TTGL if Beez hadn't - it's popular, has lots of action and would sell lots for the prices Manga sell anime for.

Like has been mentioned, Manga's releases have shown up Beez. No-one wants to pay £50 for a boardgame extra.

...not really expecting much, but just curious.

It's great - the best movie I've ever seen. It's even better than Naruto.

/reverse psychology

Presumably you mean rip-off (I'm not "down with the lingo") which is actually a good point. My press release here has Panda down with an RRP of £12.99 rather than £14.99. The cross the board online price is 8.99 though, so it's hard to complain really.
