It appears that people lost interest when it moved away focus on the blood cell. For example less than half the people who watched S1 have S2 noted on their MAL list.
I asked few months back, they said they are looking into it, i did get very lucky and bought nekomonogatari and monogatari black off ebay £24 delivered for both beginning of year
