UK Anime Distributor MVM Entertainment Discussion Thread

Does anyone else's copy of 'A lull in the sea' have this damage. It is located in the bottom left hand corner of the frontside of the rigid art case.

Amazon order here. No problem with mine.

Mine came from Amazon undamaged.
If it's not too much of a hassle for you do you mind double checking it for me, please?

I gave it a good once-over before I posted, the corners are uncreased, the sides are pristine, as is the artwork. In fact the only problem I had was that some of the adhesive residue was present on one side, easily cleaned with an optical wipe. Don't have a camera at hand, but let me put it this way. I've had the box for over a week, and I'm still squeeing a bit about it.

I'm just curious, does the UK version have the glittering effect on the spine?
No, which is utterly disappointing to me. MVM probably didn't even consider a plastic wrap with the MVM logo and age restriction on it to keep the artbox clean, as with all their CE releases :(

The edges seem sharper and the artbox a little thicker.

I'm one unlucky bastard... The replacement is dented again but this time on the upper left hand corner of the back side...

From what I've heard, it didn't actually sell too badly compared to their other titles - just that it didn't really sell well enough to justify both a DVD and Blu Ray release.

Holy crap MVM! Great pick-up with GATE. Will definitely be picking up that and the UBW set. Excited to hear what else they have, as I really want to support them more with their Collector's Editions / Blu-Ray releases.

I wonder if in their Q1 schedule we'll get a From the New World complete Blu-Ray like the US has gotten.
