Yes - it's a weird region thing, that only applies to Umaru chan and some Toei series on Crunchyroll: Whilest the series is avaiable all over Europe, English subtitles are actually region-restricted. And as Hidive never bothered translating Umaru chan R in local languages, it's only avaiable Raw. (Hidive offers local translated CR subs for Season 1)Subtitles are working on my end. Is this the same for every episode?
Totally, heck, even just by licensing Aria MVM beat up AL by a mile. AL's "new" releases got nothing on Aria and Haibane Renmei. These two kind of blows Anime Limited's "new" releases during their summer sale out of the water, IMO.
Why would the UK standard format be in error? Import it if you want the US format.Amazon says PAL, please tell me that is in error.
UK DVD players can play NTSC anyway. The point is that PAL anime means faster episodes which can have quality control issues if done wrong. Why would the UK standard format be in error? Import it if you want the US format.
It would require MVM to author the disks, which they generally don't for many reasons, normally MVM would either piggyback on a Aus release or just release it US format (I can't even remember what it is it's been so long since it's been relevant)Why would the UK standard format be in error? Ah I didn't know that UK finally adopted NTSC. Good to know.UK DVD players can play NTSC anyway. The point is that PAL anime means faster episodes which can have quality control issues if done wrong.
Which is why Anime Limited releases DVDs in NTSC because it's the original without any messing around and simply the disc regions swapped from Region 1 to Region 2.
we Just Need a BD !Amazon says PAL, please tell me that is in error.
Unfortunately the series doesn't even have a Blu-ray release even in Japan. DVD is the best we're gonna get for now.we Just Need a BD !
It's not exactly that, it's just that modern (non-american) equipment is capable of handling both PAL and NTSC and when the original material is NTSC sometimes it's just not worth converting to PAL as it requires effort and is potentially problematic.Ah I didn't know that UK finally adopted NTSC. Good to know.
Oh man I got this in a christmas mystery box and couldn't get past the 2nd episode. It was bad.
