The 3200 is better all-round than the 1200. Both can be made region free via Australian firmware updates.

That said, I've been having a recurring issue with both my 3200s. I keep getting a 1 second sound (and occasionally picture) dropout when I'm watching a DVD/BD. Only happens once per time I load up a disc, and seems to occur at random.

Would be interested to know if anyone else has had similar problems.

I don't use a 2300 but i have had a smilar problem on one of my Blu-Ray players of intermittent signal loss, a cable swap and moving it to the first HDMI port fixed it, might be worth a try

On the technology sale. £99 this time round, but it DOES come with a 2 year warranty.

I realise it's not as good a deal as it used to be, but last time I looked around, the cheaper outlets for this machine seemed to be completely out.

I finally took the shot and ordered this baby (the 3200) from Amazon UK. Price was 84 GBP with 1 year warranty.

Took long to decide, but Spice and Wolf DVD/BD collection arrived this month so I need it to watch my Horo in HD

I thought Spice and Wolf was Region free.

It is, but I did not have a BR player yet
Btw, Amazon was super fast, I ordered it on Sunday, it shipped on Monday and it arrived today (Tuesday) in Hungary from Edinburgh
