London MCM Expo 29-30 May 2010

...The proximity to a financial district will raise local living costs to such a degree that, in a short while, the only residents remaining in such a vicinity will carry leather wallets and parker pens instead of blades and bullets. And these people will most probably be too busy to use said pens as weapons against us plebeians.
I do have a leather wallet, but th idea of carrying a pen doesn't make me much happy... I would have to carry some paper.

Funny, on my way of of the Expo (on the Saturday I think) a fight broke out near the entrance between a couple of guys. I'm pretty sure they were locals more than attendees - security was onto them like a shot!

A couple of guys? Up to no good? Starting to make trouble in the neighbourhood.

Their mothers will be scared.

Bf wants to go to Salisbury on Saturday, don't mind missing the cosplay. He doesn't like anime, but all the more for me^^ Hope to make it on Sunday though!!

In my experience, Docklands is great compared to other areas like Brixton. Some of the stops are a bit shady but I didn't have any trouble when I was digging there for months (archaeology).

Salisbury.... I want to go to one of those groups that gets intimate with the stones in Stonehenge. That should be great.

BTW - What were you diggind in docklands? Bit curious here.

Will be late as well then, Perhaps we should met up at the panel then head to pub to discuss. Just hope I can get in in time to get to the industry panel.

More new about BEEZ about expo showing:

Gundam Unicorn - UK Product Launch:

Firstly the voice actress behind Marida Cruz (Tara Platt) will be attending the Beez stand for a signing during the Saturday for an hour - we'll confirm the time of this later. There'll be flyers to be signed at the event or why not bring along a new copy of Gundam Unicorn to be signed?

Not only this but if you buy Gundam Unicorn BD 1 at London Expo you'll get a limited edition post card pack as well. There are only 60 sets though so first come, first served!

Signings - Geass and Gurren Lagann!

With both Kyle Herbert (Kamina in Gurren Lagann) and Yuri Lowenthal (Simon in Gurren Lagann, Suzaku in Code Geass) then you can rest assured there's an amazing chance to get your favorite Gurren Lagann merchandise or a poster signed at the Beez or our good friends at Manga Entertainment's stands!

Buy Gurren Lagann at London Expo and get a free A3 poster from us as well!

Sales sales sales!

We'll have our usual stickered deals at the event! With Anime Legends going for amazing prices including the latest Anime Legends releases like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Not only that but we'll have the Sword of the Stranger BD and an assortment of other goodies for people to snap up.

They will be selling Anime Legend Box sets for £15 each and 2 box sets for £25

A steampunk panel? That's old hat.

Dieselpunk is a far more contemporary choice: they still use heat engines, but this time the fossils come in liquid form!

Still on the fence about going, but I'm fairly sure I'll be down there. Another convention is on in Milton Keynes this weekend called Collectormania which is worth a trip to if anyone is coming down to London for Expo and doesn't fancy a second day of anime chaos.

Wish I could be here for this but alas work have me in all weekend so will have to wait for the october/november one as usual

Collectormania at MK? hmm, sounds tempting.

Where abouts in MK? The shoppin centre?

I am no adversary to a spot of rain. Far from it — it should suffice to keep cool the attendees.

Are people still game for meeting at 08:15 at Tower Gateway?

Zin - make it half past eight and see you there? I'm leaving Hither Green today, moving to a friend's couch in Beckenham for a while.

Placed an offer for a flat today, which was insanely expensive. I'm kinda regretting doing this, but I was getting desperate =S

I'll hopefully be tagging along with Zin from Waterloo, however as i left it a bit late, i can't buy early entry tickets online, so i would need to get them there if i wish to get in early.
