Is it me or does United Publications need an overhaul

I just think it's something that's could turn away a number of customers, and if something is doing that then it's a daft thing to have on your website's front-page.

It never turned me off using the site, but I use it because I felt it was better for buying anime than the site I was using before (MovieTyme...now I just use AxelMusic for my non-anime R1 DVD purchases)

The furry is a little off putting but it's not because of that I tend to not use it. They may be cheaper on some titles but their P&P doesn't always make it worth while. Also I do not like importing.

I know you're joking anyway, but I still feel compelled to say that that really isn't the same thing.
The thing is, I wasn't wholly joking. I would probably enjoy the hell out of S&W if I were to watch it, but at face-value, is Horo/Holo any different to a bunny type thing on the front page? An honest question, because when using images, why isn't it the same thing? To cite a bad example, taking away the apparent artistry a film might have when displaying child nudity and just displaying a frame or clip of it, does that not make it porn?

So, elaborate if you want.

(is it because the furry fandom is more intertwined with porn or fapping or something?)

The issue to me isn't the fur part, it's the mostly naked part. That's gonna be off-putting to people who come to shop. Having that on the front page is basically like putting a big cardboard cut out at the door to Asda. It's gonna put people off.

I think that's a perfectly good example, with S&W being the item of artistic value, and the random image on the front of UP1's site being the problematic out of context image.

I don't think they'd be doing themselves any favors by changing to a sexy picture of Holo, if that's what you're asking.

Well, it seems they've taken your words to heart and now have a new mascot on the front page--one that may be more to the liking of the furry-averse amongst you.

Personally I was quite enamoured with tastefully nekkid bunny-chan, but the replacement is kind of cute in its own right.
