If you made an anime..?

Mine would be a Music/Slice-of-life 13 episode anime, set in a high school where all student constantly talk about the generic J-Pop singers and J-Rock bands, except for two 2nd year friends who listen to a mix of experimental music tastes in and outside of Japan. One who is a vocalist/keyboard and the other who is a guitarist.

At the start of there second year they decide to form a band before the school cultural festival by looking for members from all kind of music clubs like Jazz, choir, orchestra, light club.

The decide to reason with different year student whether its a band performance or a challenge but they always determined and get different characters who play different horns, string, drums etc.

The last episodes would be before the festival where we go through a song decision by checking out recent bands (add a few music references here and there) and practice until the main event where I would like to create something memorible, kind of like a Arcade Fire - No Cars Go or a Jonsi - Go Do.

So yeah I can dream :)

My story would be a like a yaoi or something...

About a loud mouthed blonde haired ninja who falls in love and stalks a moody black haired ninja. I feel that I shall name them Barry and Steve.

It will be a 400 episode plus masterpiece, with draw out fights and an over the top plot.
But mainly its about ninjas that just need a hug.

I don't think anything like that has been done before...I'm a genius!

I have often fantasised when watching my two regular show types (Shonen-fighting and Comedy/romance) about if things were to just go how they SHOULD go... Sometimes I even pretend that they do just to stop myself from ripping the arm off my chair in sheer frustration...

One of my MAIN demands is a show such as DBZ and the such-like where the main protagonist cant just get really, really angry or whatever and then suddenly be able to win against insurmountable odds... Sometimes, evil shoudl win goddamnit!

Sort of harping on the above, my other thing is the "Power of friendship" There will be NONE of that in my anime....I dont care if your best friend has just been killed...THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET SUPER STRENGTH!!!!

Someone stop me...... *twitches*.

I'd do two licensed properties:

Scott Pilgrim: The Animation

Seto No Hanayome 2

There, I've just saved the anime industry.

Failing that, something about the Arabian Nights or something, that gets no love from the Japanese.

I'd probably do a slice of life anime with a bit of comeyd mixed in inspired by my adventures in learning martial arts. I've met so many people that would make great anime characters!

I take it you've seen Sega's Arabian Fight? By all accounts it's not a particularly good game, but it has some very nice design work, much in the style of the early megadrive box-art.

It'd be awful. The setting of SP is so ingrained in the soul of the story, I can't see it working.

I'd watch the Aladdin show though.
Uh, did I imply that Scott Pilgrim: the animation would be nothing less than the comic animated? What, you saying anime can't take place outside of Japan?

Yeah, I heard of it. There's also the Taito arcade game too. But that's nether here nor there.

I'd rather it be animated by some American studio then.

Which one? I can't think of any studio I'd rather see do it than Mad House, myself.

I quite like Cartoon Network Studios myself. They seemingly use flash, but they can create pretty vibrant and odd worlds, with good backgrounds and simple yet effective main animation. Chowder and that Flapjack show look pretty great, Billy and Mandy is probably closer to what I would want and some of the action scenes could be Samurai Jack-esque.

This is wildly off-topic at this stage, but I'ma just gonna put this here.

Erm, it'd be interesting to see all the books like that. Lisa Miller. <3

A cross over of Jackie chan adventures, Naruto and avatar the last airbender. simply for the lulz.

Or a rom comedy that turns into something like urutsukidoji for a laugh, just to see peoples reactions.

Serioulsy though...probably an action/adventure. An anime version of tomb raider/ indiana jones and Nathan drake-like characters all battling it out to get a piece of "fallen heaven" or something. that'd be interesting. has to contain alot of fights and clever animation.
