Well...I finaly did it...I completed Kingdom Hearts. Oh god I cried all the way through the ending! I'm still crying now. I feel like something has broken...God I love Kingdom Hearts so much and it has such a great ending but it's so sad...whats gonna happen to them all? Will Rikku, Kairi and Sora ever see eachother again?
The worst part is...I have to give this game back to my friend who I borrowed it from, and I know that I wont stop crying when I hand it back...Ive never been this attatched to a PS2 game.
To quote from Simple and clean.
Its hard to let it go

So what games have you recently completed and opened up a hole in your life?

Games don't really have that affect on me....i can complete a game and it won't affect me...guess that makes it easy to let them go

For some strange reason, back in the days of the mighty SNES, when I finally finished Super Mario World: Yoshi's Story, I was really upset that I had finished it. God knows why, I guess I really enjoyed playing it.

The endings of Baldur's Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal were some of the most emotional gaming moments ever, especially ToB. Perhaps that's just me, though.

^ I have 2 words for you:

Plansescape: Torment.

Trust me, you'll love it. Sure it's low res compared the BGII, but the story and the dialogue are pretty much unparalleled in any game I've played before or since.

Myst. One of the best games I've ever played. Once it was over my life seemed to lack a certain meaning...then again the same thing happened after Theme Hospital :D

Oh I own and have played Torment too, and yes the ending was awesome :D But BG2 just pips it in terms of story I think. Still a fantastic game though, I should play it again sometime.

Games that left me with a depressed feeling (But that is good!)

Shenmue 1 & 2
Final Fantasy VIII
Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 1&2
Clock Tower 3
Resident Evil 2

That's all that I can think of for now, each was epic in their own way and ended greatly or rather meh. It left me feeling a tad depressed - I didn't want them to end!

Kingdom Hearts had a beautiful ending. It was heartwrenching but I don't think I cried!

Ack I feel like such a n00b I still can't complete FF8... I wanted to get all of the GF's but I just can't beat Bahamut! I'm still on disc 3 - it's possibly the best game i've ever played and the first FF game I played ever!

Maybe I will just carry on without him... GAH.

FF8 is excellant!, Don't worry I still haven't completed it yet! I think I'm just a very soppy person...and I was just so attatched to the game that I was crying!

I can't complete FF8 either :( It's the only of the Final Fantasy's I haven't got to the end of (well, except 1 - 5, but I'm working on that! )

I always feel deflated after finishing a Final Fantasy - its like you've been with the characters on every step of their journey and then it all comes to an end... (*sob*) I think that applies to all RPGs though.

I also find that I end up missing the thrill of playing a truly great game for the first time for hours on end, that feeling of burning eyeballs is one I wouldn't trade for the world! Lol
