I finaly did it!

I've always been attached to FFVII. Its the most amazing game. *huggles FFVII case* I've cried at that game like, at 5 different points.
And OMG!! so many people haven't completed FFVIII? What? Oooh, you're in for a good ending let me tell ya!
FFX is special to me too. I felt all empty after I completed it. I was crying all the way until Suteki Da Ne had finished
Come to think of it, I'm attached to all my FFs. And thats really not healthy!

Sure it is, cos they're fantastic games! :D I remember 10 came out around my A Level exams... (or was it GCSE...?) so it probably stopped me from getting higher grades... Ah well it was worth it (and I still got into uni, so no harm done!)

Final Fantasy 7 was like one of the first games I'd ever played and I don't think anything has ever come close to the feeling I had playing through it. The bit at the end of disc one (you knows what I mean)... The upset me for DAYS! *cue flashback*

the only game thats hit me emotionaly belive it or not was shenmue and zelda the orcarina of time i cried for about a day after i completed zelda and for a guy thats 6foot 2 thats not really impressive.lol

You should Play the First Klonoa Omg i Cry every single time i play, really i keep tissue with me when i play it now....

 I feel really sorry for them at the end *Tears in eyes*

This link caused me to go out and buy Kingdom Hearts today :D When it first came out, I had mixed feelings about it. I liked the look of the Square side of it, but the Disney input was a bit off-putting...

Playing it, I can defenitaly tell which bits are from which compaines (ie. the better parts are thanks to Squaresoft  ) but it seems like it could absorb my life over the next few months! Selphie's in it! Wooooo! Wakka sounds weird...

Cheers for the unintentional recommendation! Lol!

I think I was 10 the first time I ever played that - I cried buckets! *Is ashamed*

Coolness, I've done good forces on battle for midle earth and now playing as the evil forces.. WOOOO just killed legolas, gimly, pippin, mary and borimer!!!! DIE!!!!!

I haven't ever cried at a video game before (hell! I even surpressed tears when I watched the sublime Grave Of The Fireflies, the stunning The Green Mile and the brilliant Forrest Gump), but that doesn't for one moment mean I don't have a bit of emotional involvement in some of the video games I play.

Final Fantasy VII is the most obvious and blatant example I can use. Grandia 2 effected me more than I would have expected. I'm sure there are others.

And then, when you get "emotionally effected" that doesn't mean it has to be sad either does it?

Think about it! How many times have people played a video game that has had a villian(s) / villianess(es) that have inspired an insaitable desire to complete the game and defeat these over-confident abombinations?!

I'm thinking of Onimusha (4): Dawn Of Dreams this very instant people! In fact, Volgin from MGS3: Subsistence needs to have a slap now I think about it!

Yes, yes! Anger and vengeance are often emotions that inflict me when I want to put a video game baddie in his or hers (or even its) place! Hwhahahaha!

How have I never replied to this post before?

I love the feeling of anger and rage that fills you when you are hacking away at a boss that you have lost to on multiple occassions, recently the Neverwinter Nights 2 Dragon bosses have brought out much frustrations and in the end joy as I slew and then filleted the beasts.

As for cry I have done that too, Final Fantasy VIII got to me, at the end where Squall is left alone and it cuts to party with the video camera and everyone enjoying themselves and just as the battery ends we see Rinoa and next to her is Squall.... if you watch til the end of the next set of credits you see them together on the balcony and I cried a few tears of joy and illation.

I may have to rebuy this game as I've got it on my PC but I don't have a PC controller and you really do need one to enjoy the FF games.

Ok Ok so I also cried at the end of Final Fantasy X where they all think they won and can go home together and then Tidus tells them he can't go back as he's dead, so he hugs Yuna and the runs and jumps into the Spirit Flow

Damn those games get to me especially after hours and hours of gameplay

You should look at old threads. I know its sad and everything, but I really like it when you're turfing through old material, find something interesting and then ressurect the topic of conversation. It also some time means you don't have to create new threads either. lol

I'm sad like that.

Also, another form of game frustration isn't just over confident "baddies", but moments where you keep failing and have to keep repeating the same part over and over and over.

It isn't as often as it was a few years ago, but these moments still pop-up now and again. It actually happened in Killer7 for me as a recent example. I died once and got really angry.

Says a lot about how video games have chanaged over the years...

He wasn't dead, he was a dream, he never really existed, that was one of the only good parts for X. X_X

Endings rarely effect me in games, but have been greatly affected by other bits.
Silent Hill 1- Anything to do with Lisa Garland but her 'fate' gave me nightmares. She was the one person i wished i could save, as she was the most realistic (petrified out of her mind by it all). At least she got her ... revenge
Silent Hill 3- When we 'meet' Heather's Dad
FF7- When Tifa takes a trip into Cloud's psyche. Left me cold inside.

Yeah that guy had major issues
Yeah, but i actually kinda liked that. Before i played that game most lead characters were one dimensional at best (and I'm not talking about limitations in graphics either) he was the first with some real depth.
