Hey, everyone!

Max Takeshi

Great Teacher
Just doing the usual thing and saying hello.

I'm not exactly new to the forum as I've been roaming for awhile, but never signed up... until now, of course.

Having just hit 30 I'm a little sceptical about telling other people I like Japanese cartoons... until they say 'Oh yeah? I'm quite fond of them too.' Weird times.

I'm an avid gamer, having been brought into the gaming world waaaaaaaay back in the early eighties, and still am quite shocked to see how far we have come in such short time.

I also like to read and write, though that, strangely enough, sometimes requires a specific 'mood' to be in.

Well that's enough rambling, so sorry.

Hi and welcome to the forum, that's normally a good response to get from someone when you tell them you like anime.

What series are you into?

Howdy hi hi, Welcome to the forums. Paranoia Agent, that reminds me, i need to watch that soon, specially since it's been on my shelves for a good while now.

Welcome to AUKN Max! You'll have no problem finding people to discuss anime with here. =P

I'm saddened by the fact that where I live, anime is a non subject. I'm regarded as a little strange for liking japanimation at the age of 26, so I feel your scepticism mate. Your safe here.
See you around. ^^

"We are the cartoon heroes, oo-woah-oh! We are the ones that's gonna last forever!" ;)
Hi-ho, Max.T. I say that I like anime to people all the time, and if I dont strike them as a "normal" guy, I dont care. I'll draw in your staffrooms, play my PSP when you're not talking to me, and read manga when you're more interested in the newspaper. :D

Anyways, we dont mind the rambling as long as it's not trolling, so keep up the pace. :) Cya around.

It's not anime, but i've got a feel, maybe he likes his castle?

(Y'know "Takeshi's Castle"... Nevermind...)

There is nothing strange to this. I myself need to be in a certain mood to do most everything, including sanitary acts.

No apology needed — everyone enjoys the occasional ramble. (That is, of course, except those with small reserves of stamina, and those of limited mobility. On second thoughts, quite a few people dislike rambling. And scrambling as well. On that note, I once went for a ramble that involved a scramble up a small waterfall. Fortunately, I was wearing waterproof gear. I digress.)

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.

As for specific series, I have a soft spot for Sakura Wars (first anime video I ever bought, so feel a kindred with everything Sakura Taisen). Also anything by Satoshi Kon, even though he's more films than series. I also have a fond liking of eighties anime, Willy Fog, Dogtanian, Cities of Gold (since I grew up watching them). Kimagure Orange Road and the classic Urusei Yatsura.

As for new, Durarara has proved itself to be interesting indeed.

And yes, Godot, my username is very much influenced by a show featuring said castle. My old one used to be Sailor Vegeta. But that was way too disturbing an image for some people.

See you guys around.

Thanks all.

And yes, I guess 30 does sound old to some people. But then again it sounds young to others.

Embrace the middle-ground I guess is the moral.
