I saw on the EyeOnAnime forums, that it takes 25 e-mails to get a TV ad banned, i know that this isn't the same thing, but we at least need 25 people to e-mail the BBFC, just to let them know that there are a lot of people out there who want PA vol.3 to come out uncut, and even if that means changing some law, then it may be possible, anyway please vote when you've e-mailed them, every little helps :D
(Had to do the second option because it wouldn't let me just do one...)

This is just a counter, not a poll as such.

i have sent my email and have written quite alot, about the edits.
i tried to sound as pro as possible so that they may even consider it.

but only 2 peple have sent a mail so far?
we need more!

Haven't sent an e-mail and won't, its a waste of time!

Im afraid I'm with Ramen here, the BBFC arent going to listen even if everyone here mailed them.

So much for trying... All it takes is a few minutes, and so what if it's for something that is probably impossible to change, at least it's trying...

Have a look at my post in the orignal thread as well (the last one i did), then make up your own mind on whether or not the edit was worthy or not...

The edit is annoying for fans of the series for sure, but in the end the decisions been made and the BBFC arent going to sit down and rewatch and change their minds just because of a few fans making a fuss about it.

Umm... that was me who said that on that forum. There wasn't a specific example, so please don't take that literally! Despite that it does seriously take well under 100 complaints to make things happen when it comes to adverts on TV. (remember the advert when the guy coughed up the dog?) Sadly, this is nothing to do with the BBFC, but with the advertising standards people. (whatever their name is, ITC?)

Example: 136 complaints get an Xbox advert banned (I couldn't find a better example, but it's still a really small number considering the millions who watch TV):

Good idea to make a poll! I wrote an e-mail to the BBFC too. I doubt they'll change their minds, but I'd like to know better how they made made their decision in this case. It can't hurt to ask! :D

I'll send them an email. I don't think it will do anything though but if it does then, yay.

If you do decide to send an email don't just say "WHAT THE HELL Y U CUT PARANOIA AGENT?? >: (" or something equally as stupid. Be polite and check your spelling. If they do actually even read these then they are not even going to bother the ones cluttered with spelling errors(I know I wouldn't).

Yep, after all there not just editing it for the hell of it, their doing it to comply with the LAW.

I'm not going to email the BBFC, they are only doing their jobs and as Ramen said - it's the law. For those of us who want to see the scene in it's full glory, will find other means anyway. I don't see how a few emails can change a law that is even older than me!
I know it's a bit extreme to cut it out, but you have to see it from their point of view as well. They are not doing this to ANGER anime fans but to play it safe for any kids that 'might' happen to watch it.

Kids are more likely to see one of the Darkness movies or LA Blue girl than Paranoia Agent since they're always on display. Old ladies aren't going to read the age rating and buy it for their grandchildren.

I guess they must be blind, if they don't notice the anime girls on the front covers with tentacles wrapped around them and blushing for all the wrong reasons. Nobody picks off a random DVD off the shelf without reading the back!
The old ladies will think Paranoia Agent is someone who likes the green leaves a bit too much. :p

Whether someones likely to pick it up or not is irrelevant, the BBFC are following guidleines, simple as that.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

Bottom line here is as Ramen and Neptune say this decision isn't going to be changed unless theres a change in the LAW. Now this may happen in the future but it isnt going to happen because of a bunch of Paranoia Agent mailing the BBFC.

Yes I think the cuts are unreasonable.
Yes I think its annoying.
Yes I think the BBFC's policy is wrong.

But whining about it isn't going to change anything if you want the episode that much theres alternate methods for getting it.

Well it is really.

It's a stupid law in the first place, along with all the other stupid laws in this country, if you're not going to post something helpful to the cause, which has a possibility to be changed, then what's the point in posting at all...

This post wasn't made for discussion about how pointless it is, it was simply made as a counter for who has e-mailed them or not... i couldn't take the last option off because it didn't let me, so please post in the news thread tbh...

EDIT: Didn't post fast enough lol, this was meant to go after Ramen's post. And Mangaminx, this isn't whining, it's trying to do something about something that was wrong... We're still going to try even if it is to get the law changed... things can happen (just probably won't) :D

As Mangaminx has pointed out already, we doubt the law is going to get changed over a few people emailing them over Paranoia Agent. The law is there for a reason. I'd rather prefer to know what kind of things are in a DVD than it being unrated like in America.
You can't expect everyone to agree to your cause. You post on a forum and think everyone should rally around together for a minute cut out of an anime. I admire you trying though - we'll see what happens. :D

It's rated 16 and up in america. It says on the DVD covers.

Your wasting your time, just because its a "stupid law" doesn't mean its going to be changed by a few irate fans e-mailing saying "Why did you edit it? Its not bad really I swear!", and last time I checked this section of the forum is called "General Anime DISCUSSION".

Where should i put this post then.. not that i can move it now.

EDIT: Just replying to Neptune's post really: Thinking about it a bit more, i just think it's worth a try to get this changed, not that it will be, i don't mean to try and make everyone do it, if it comes accross that way then sorry. I will have to find 'another method' of getting this episode, and as Neptune said, we'll have to see what happens now lots of people have e-mailed them :D
