Greetings Programs!

Eeeper

Completely Average High School Student
Hello all. My name is Phillip though I'm more commonly known as Eeeper on the Intertubes. I'm 28 and I run the Eeeper's Choice Podcast or ECP for short. We are Ireland's only anime and manga review and discussion website. So I decided to wander over here and join the forums because I realised that I'd only been on the US sites for the last few years. So now I'm officially here as well.

How would I describe my tastes? Hmm, well if you were to pin me for an answer I'd say I'm an old-schooler. That said, there's nothing I won't watch once. I never say I won't watch something but I will take my time getting round to it. My mainstay is licensed stuff, I never watch anything on FS's that I don't buy when licensed....I have a lot of stuff that I want licensed! I'm a paid member of Crunchyroll and despite being locked out of a lot of their content, I'm happy with the service.

How am I online? If you have a question, I'll try my best to answer. If you have an answer, I have no trouble taking it. When shown the error of my ways, I will acknowledge that I am wrong but don't think I won't debate my point first. I can't abide posers, petulant little children or attention seekers but I'm not their parents so I won't put them in their place. If you haven't learned to behave yourself on the internet by now, you never will. Another thing is I sometimes speed through typing so sometimes my weords dont' amke since.

I have a great respect for Japanese creators and companies that produce, release and maintain these fine works but that won't stop me from critiquing the work.

If you have any suggestions as to what I can cover on my own show or want to discuss something anime or manga related with me, I'm always around. Two things though: 1) I don't always respond immediately and 2) if I'm out of my depth then I'll say but please don't take it that I'm not interested in hearing you out first. My contact details are there in my profile if you need them.

With that said, thanks you for listening to my intro. GNAGL!

Hey there, welcome to the forums! you seem a bit odd so you should fit right in :p

Oh, yes! Finally, an asylum where the patients are running things!

Thank you for the welcome, Kirrimir.

You sound interesting. Welcome!

Feel free to leap right into the anime chatter and draw out the other old school fans. There are a few lurking.

Yo! If you had posted Eva as a favourite instead of Ninja scroll, I'd have thought you were someone else I know from Ireland that also loves Tezuka... Is liking Tezuka an irish thing?

In any case, welcome here!

Kool. Nice to meet ya.

I'm sure someone from the Isle of Man has a huge tugging motor pulling Ireland within touching distance of us... As long as they bring the little guys in green and not the tap-dancers... ;)

Welcome strangah!

How do you know that the tug isn't pulling you to me? :D

How about reviewing shows which appear to be inspired by Irish culture and history? I can think of a few:

Oh dear... Tron! It's on my rewatch list, because I haven't watched it since I was a kid around my grandfathers. Need to get on that before Legacy comes out.

Indeed. I've got it on DVD like. Got it in a classic deal including Labyrinth, Dark Crystal and The Goonies.
All for the hansdome price of £12 if I recall. :thumb:

Hmm. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Never subscribed to the thread.

Arslan: Will get to get someday. Guin Saga is tempting me more.

Slayers: I have S1 on order so I'll get a review of it sometime.

Berserk: Man alive, this series has a rep! I'm almost afraid to review it.

F.M.P: Sorry, but no. I'm going to let me co-host review that. He's been wanted to for some time.

Someday Dreamers: Soon, very soon.
