Global Warming and Evolution

Nah, I'm done with this farce of a debate. You have nothing to back your side up with (funnny how, despite how apparentely popular climate change rejection is, you can only use 2 quotes that you can't even reference!). And then, when I point out how inanely stupid and contradictory your attitude and opinions on governments are, you say "it's not the place" to discuss this. It's odd that when you were ranting your silly rants about something you clearly know nothing about (governance), it is the place!

I'm going to be polite about your opinions about 9/11 and climate change because they are horrendously offensive to logic, history, science and basic common sense. And I won't be polite about your opinions on "the evils of government" because they are absurdly contradictory and unfair and ill-informed and those types of opinions don't deserve politeness.

In fairness- you're acting like a close minded idiot.

He said the quotes were from the IPCC site, he just said he couldn't find the article again. Are you reading what he says, or are you just jumping to assumptions?

Nothing to back my side up, ha, those quotes are from an IPCC report, so dont give me that, and its a simple matter of corroberating on your part, thats a lot more than youve given, all youve done is laugh at others opinions, discounting and categorising people, none of which leads anyone to conclusions.

Ha, by its not the place to discuss this I meant the thread, its going way off topic, jeez CG, use some common sense please, I clearly stated Id be happy to, you have areal problem with context I see.

Again your insults only show your close minded nature, thats really all they do and anyone here looking objectively could see that.

And first of all I never said the government was evil, like all orginisations, there are inevitably good and bad people there, and even thats a generalisation, however if you want a debate on some of the inhuman things governments have done to their people, Id win that one every time my friend, ever time.

I just want to clarify here CG that instead of making assumptions, you could bother to actually research such matters, not just discount things that sound fantastical and dont fit with your world view, if you want examples of suppressed technology, I can give them to you, if you want examples of classified government projects that involved testing dangerous bio-weapons on their own people, I can show then to you, if you want PROOF that the governments of the world, particularly the American government, HAVE carried out MANY false flag operations in the past, by God I can show you that, because I have RESEARCHED it.

But like I said you can start a new thread if youre genuinly curious, and willing to become somewhat more mentally malleable in this matter.

Its not like I read books and research such matters with the sole purpose of discrediting everything mainstream, Im simply a curious and concerned human is all.

You're contradicting yourself. On the one hand, you're saying that governments have too much power and it's a bad, bad thing and that the government should, in fact, have much less power. And then you proceed to say that it's a shame the government doesn't have even more power to be able to ban firms from using fossil fuels and force other firms to sell solar panels at lower costs. Either you want to government to have minimal amounts of power, or you want it to have more. Make up your mind!
I wouldn't say that is contradictory. You've just about described my position on the role of Government there. ;)

Either the people with the power should use it to solve the big problems in our world like climate change, HIV and starvation rather than, say lolicon (the threads are merging!) or they should give that power back to individuals, along with all the money they're wasting doing it. If they're only going to use that power to fiddle around with pointless little things - Something the European government absolutely lives for, not that I'm anti-European but it makes me roll my eyes whenever I hear their lastest pieces of legislation. Ooh, you've decided some other food product has to come from a certain place to call it by that name. Great! That'll help solve world hunger. That was really worth your salaries and all the tax money that pays for these new rules to be enforced!

Our ultimatum to all governments should be this: Sort things out, or GTFO.

The burden of proof is on you! If you make a statement then it's up to YOU to prove it, not me. If these IPCC quotes actually exist (and they don't, or at least they didn't come from the IPCC) then it's up to you to prove that.

Again your insults only show your close minded nature, thats really all they do and anyone here looking objectively could see that.

It's close-minded to think that -actually- Al-Qaeda was behind 9/11 and not the U.S. government? It's close-minded to think that humankind is doing damage to the environment on a massive scale? It's close-minded to think that evolution is fact? Wow, I guess accepting facts is close-minded in your worldview, is it?

And first of all I never said the government was evil, like all orginisations, there are inevitably good and bad people there, and even thats a generalisation, however if you want a debate on some of the inhuman things governments have done to their people, Id win that one every time my friend, ever time.

I never said all governments were good, or that the concept of the state is intrinsically good. But you seem to be making the point that the state is inherently corrupt or something. Also, there are few cases of democratically elected governments (which is the only kind that works properly) inflicting harm on their own citizens.

I know the U.S. government (or more appropriately, the CIA) have carried out such "false flag" operations - but I don't see how it impacts this debate about government at all? The CIA has done many evil things, but they are always acting in the interest of U.S. citizens (don't forget that the U.S. is a superpower and maintaining a superpower without some abuse of that power is impossible).

How about, next time, instead of telling me about how many examples prove your argument, you actually list them.

And stop this nonsense about not wanting to go off-topic. You were perfectly happy to berate governemnts and scientists who've studied climate change in this thread despite it having nothing to do with the original topic.

(1) - This 9/11 thing isn't on topic. Outlawstar said make a new topic if you wish to discuss it. How about you read what he writes?

(2) - It's not what you think that's close-minded, it's the fact you wont look at another ******* side of the story. There's 2 sides to a coin, y'know ;]

Again its funny to watch you put words in my mouth, getting a bit silly though, however I will educate you on one matter here, "AL QUEDA" per ce DOESTIN EXIST!!!!

Was gonna link you to a vid about that, but lo and behold its been deleted.
Google is your friend.

You have actually put words in my mouth AGAIN here, I said nothng about inherent corruptness and in fact said quite the opposite when I made the point about good and bad people, you really need to proofread.

Yes, your right, and it thusly dawned on me just how off-topic weve gone, hence me saying Id be glad to go into further detail in another thread.

Okay, I'm usually not this arrogant, but ... I'm pretty sure Outlawstar and Spyro201 are by far and away below me in terms of understanding politics, facts and the world in general. So I give up. I mean, it's actually laughable to see Outlawstar claim there's no such as Al-Qaeda or climate change and then tell me that the burden of proving this utter ******** falls upon my shoulders. And then Spyro201 just flails around talking about how there's two sides to every story as if that somehow makes Outlawstar's delusional, conspiracy theorist nonsense any more legitimately deserving of attention. I will deal with this, however, because I think there might (MAYBE) be a proper debate in it ....

Outlawstar said:

U.S. citizens and firms require oil and safety; the CIA procures this for them. How is the CIA not acting in the interest of it's citizens by doing the things they do? Obviously, I'm opposed to torture, instigating uprising in nascent states, orchestrating the overthrowing of governments etc., but the U.S. is the world's sole superpower and that actually means something.

Didint think youd actually show your ego in such a light as that first sentence CG.Its an awful attempt at implying youare right and I am wrong.
Again with the words in my mouth, when you gonna kick that old habit, not once did I say theres no such think as climate change, and in fact clearly said the opposite, and nor did I say Al-Quaeda doesint exist, I put in the per ce for a reason CG, and I dont say that lightly.
I really cant be bothered going into detail here, GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND, and yes burden of proof and all that, I would be glad to go into much further detail in ANOTHER THREAD.

Wow and you speak of contradictions on my part, if you genuinely want to debate this particular matter Id be more than happy to, as long as you dont degenerate to throwing insults and ultimatums around as you have undeniably done here.

And please stop with the discounting me as a conspiracy theorist act, its the oldest trick in the book, and it dont work on me.

If you can't accept the fact that there are 2 sides to everything, you're more stupid than any of us could belive.

Why is it, even when you've known you're right, when you tried to grass someone in primary school, the teacher would always say "Woah woah woah. Let me hear his/her side of this too". It's cause people lie! The world aint full of truth, it's about time you grew up and realised that.

All Outlawstar and I do is look at other sides of stories, and then cast our opinion (Which may I add, we are happy to change). You, on the other hand, are just a sheep, and instantly seem to belive whatever the first scientist says.

Get a ******* grip mate. Open your mind, you'll enjoy life more then.

Oh- and if you want another example of your close mindedness, that we have all told you about, it's how you fail to see other people may dislike Advent Children. You'll whine "ITZ OFF TOPIC! THATS TOTALLY NOT RELEVANT" but, it is. You refuse to accept someone else could have a different opinion to you. That makes you a very sad person, i'm sorry.

There isn't a second side to a fact, I'm afraid. The sky is blue ... what's the "other side" to that story, considering you're so "open-minded" and all?

Wow, are you actually for real? If you don't know the difference between that situation and what me and Outlawstar are discussing right now, then you have no place (or, rather, even less of a place) in this debate than even Outlawstar does. I'll explain it anyway: if you hit someone in school, the "other side" to that story isn't whether or not the hitting took place, it's whether or not the person doing the hitting had a legitimate motive for it. And you seriously proceed to tell me to grow up? Hah.

All Outlawstar and I do is look at other sides of stories, and then cast our opinion (Which may I add, we are happy to change). You, on the other hand, are just a sheep, and instantly seem to belive whatever the first scientist says.

Yeah, I'm such a fool for believing scientists that have studied and conducted objective tests on climate change. And I'm just so narrow-minded for believing what every single real journalist in the world has observed: that Al-Qaeda is real.

Oh- and if you want another example of your close mindedness, that we have all told you about, it's how you fail to see other people may dislike Advent Children. You'll whine "ITZ OFF TOPIC! After this, I'm done entertaining your nonsense; I don't 'refuse' that other people have different opinions (what does that even mean? Unless I just flat out deny that there are differing opinions, I don't see how it's possible that I refuse the existence of other people's different opinions. Like, seriously, do you even think about what you type? Do you?), I just take people up on these opinions and debate them because that's the whole purpose of forums. I know you probably think AUKN is just for whining about petty school problems, but some of us actually enjoy discussing and disagreeing and debating each other's opinions ;]

Oh, and if anyone needed proof that Spyro201 should not be taken seriously in terms of serious topics, just remember this instance of his introducing of a Final Fantasy movie into this debate. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so pitiful.

I'm trying to give you an example from childhood since you have the mental age of a primary school kid, that's why I used the example :]

Yeah, I'm such a fool for believing scientists that have studied and conducted objective tests on climate change. And I'm just so narrow-minded for believing what every single real journalist in the world has observed: that Al-Qaeda is real.

Scientists have also studies climate change and said that it is not because of Human impact, it's because, relative to the earths age, we are just coming out of an ice age and the planet is naturally warming up (To name but one theory. I do belive Outlawstar has given others also)

You don't actually listen to anyone elses opinion though, you just say "You're wrong". That is what I mean by deny the fact someone else has an opinion ;]

As for me using the forum to "Whine about school", you'll find I made, one thread? At least I don't have a hissy fit everytime someone says "Final Fantasy Sucks", or, "Evangelion sucks".

Oh, and if anyone needed proof that Spyro201 should not be taken seriously in terms of serious topics, just remember this instance of his introducing of a Final Fantasy movie into this debate. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so pitiful.

Actually the "other side" to that technically is that humans see the sky as blue, not all creatures, thus the "fact" is very much subjective.

Youve taken his point out of context to an awful degree Im afraid, forget legitimate motives, stories can be made up and falsified, thats the whole point he was making, you cant just take something at face value(well of course you can, but I personally dont work that way)

I'm not taking things at face value! Climate change, etc. are all backed up by enormous amounts of evidence (that I've even linked to in this thread). You are taking your hearsay, conspiracy ******** at face value - you provide nothing to back up your delusional claims!
