I wonder what's going to happen with companies like amigo in America since there's plans for a Economic black out plus the risk of the taking orange going for the Constitution no freedom of speech = no hollywood or manga/anime.

They certainly are, and they've been moving like this for years now. Today I read something about about Reeves holding a meeting with execs from JP Morgan, Blackrock, Goldman Sachs etc, in order to look for fresh ideas on how to create growth. This is the level they're on. This is who they are and what they're all about. I honestly think there is a 0% chance they will succeed in improving the lives of ordinary people. I don't even think they even care all that much, they'll enjoy their generous ministerial salaries and backhanders and then they'll swan off and get paid even more to host dinner parties and write memoirs. But they will happily throw the disabled, the sick, the unemployed, and certainly immigrants under the bus first.

This is why the centre can't connect with everyday voters (and I personally wouldn't class any of the parties you're talking about as meaningfully centre-left, apart from perhaps Corbyn's Labour if you're including them, but again a big part of their problem was that they had people like Starmer working against them from within), they are the parties of the super rich and they always have been. And since their interests are ultimately to protect their wealth they will side with the right in opposition to the left every single time (again just look at the example of Corbyn's Labour). If it was a choice between a solidly centre-left party and Reform, you already know whose side legacy media will take.

The prospect of a near future Reform gov is genuinely terrifying. It really does worry me the way things are going. The things that give me hope though is that I think if Trump's second term becomes seen as a failure (and I think this is more likely than not) that will really reflect badly on Reform. And I just hope that in general the British public have enough sense not to fall for Farage's lies. I remember being shocked at just how badly people fell for an obviously selfish buffoon like Johnson, but I really do hope that we're better as a country than to allow Farage into power.

Only 1 party being elected in 2029,and time for change, people complain about reform being "liars" and yet 2st promise labor made was "we will freeze council tax" and yet, April it's said to be goin up the most it's ever gone up (10%) I mean the hypocrisy is overwhelming😂for me time for change with the sleaze and liars of the tories and labor, for me, it's either Rupert Lowe or farage for next pm, maybe we will be able to heat our homes when they win instead of paying nonsense "green energy tax", as fools think the world is going to end and we are going to be burnt alive by 20oc sun in june
 
I really think trump is going to push things too far and their will be a major impetus to impeach him and that'll be the end of his "dynasty". Liberal left wing americans won't tolerate this kind of crap for very long.
 
I'm just worried that rope he is likely to hang himself with will hang him too late and take the rest of the world with him in a horrible globally destructive way. I wonder what on earth his end goal is, and is it just money alone driving him. Any idiot can see the damage caused by fossil fuels yet he promotes the killing off of green initiatives and bringing in as much oil drilling as fast as possible.
I feel that there should be some laws to prevent this happening but just nothing seems to get done

Obviously I am worried about WW3 breaking out but it is long beyond time someone told Trump he isn't all that. I have to admire that guy for sticking up so firmly for his country. I feel if he signed away Ukraine's resources America would bleed them dry until the place became a desolate poverty-stricken wasteland. And Trump seems entirely too friendly with Putin for comfort.
Also, you can't slag someone off to the rest of the world, declare to that person's sworn enemy that they are a 'dictator' and 'bending the rules to suit himself' (Hypocrite or what, convicted felon trump) then expect that person to go and say 'oh thank you' and sycophantically sign away the entire finances of their country so that they will be indebted for centuries.
 
I'll be honest-Trump is not my president-I didn't vote for the bloody moron and my personnel views and opinions are diametrically opposed to his. I was embarrassed by the way Zelensky was treated in the oval office, like is this a bunch of 7 year olds in the school playground berating one of their classmates? Zelensky was the only adult there.

What does everyone here think of Gary Stevenson? You've probably all seen him somewhere by now but he's an author and basically socially media influencer who bangs on about more or less just one issue relentlessly and very effectively: the inequality that is destroying society and how the only way to fix this is TAXING THE RICH hard. His initial claim to our attention was based around the brag that he used to be one of the top traders in world in the early 2010s, and it's a claim he's received some push back on by former colleagues of his. But regardless of whatever one may think of the person himself (and I really don't know one way or the other, I haven't read his book, I'm not personally interested in him) his sole message that the super rich are our one and only enemy, not immigrants, no dirty dole scroungers like me, but the wealth hoarding blood sucking rich and only them. It's spot on. And it's just so refreshing and impressive to see someone who isn't a right wing toss pot spreading bile and hatred build this sort of momentum. So I hope he continues to popularise this message.

 
I'm really sorry to hear that Radfem, it's completely despicable and unconscionable and cruel what Labour have announced they're doing to disability benefits. And it shows just where their priorities are when rather than countenance taking a bit more money from the wealthy they'd rather take it away from some of the most vulnerable. And honestly, I don't reckon they're doing it for any other reason than they enjoy the cruelty, they're all closet sadists. You can't tell me Liz Kendell wasn't genuinely relishing making these announcements, in her massive stupid glasses.

I have no idea what they are even thinking! They are just going on about getting everyone into work all the time and seem to be ignoring the fact there are people out there who simply can't. And if they are going to insist that everyone work, maybe they need to sort out the work situation for able bodied people too, there are people out there who can't find work no matter how hard they try, and instead of helping people they are just taking away their benefits. GREAT PLAN

I hope somehow they are forced to change their minds and not do this, it's just all so awful, I feel like I and other disabled people are viewed as disposable and "useless eaters"... I knew this lot of red tories would do this kind of thing... I'm kind of just thinking of sleeping all day so I don't need to eat as much and don't use as many resources... so I'm marginally less likely to end up broke... why are people in power so intent on making life harder for those who are already struggling? :(
