Fox mauls children

Some of you might have heard about the fox that's mauled 2 children in their sleep.

With the conservatives being pro-fox hunting, do we think the latest civil unrest towards fox's will bring back the fox hunting days?

some thoughts ive had since seeing this on the news:

1. why the hell did the parents leave the window open...and then not hear a fox come in and attack the kids???

2. how on earth did a fox end up in a house in London? isnt it a really urban city? everytime I go there I see basically no woods/forests for these foxes to have come from...

3. they apparently killed a fox, but they dont know if it was the same fox that did it...great job there, in future lets just shoot the first person who looks like a criminal near the crime scene...crazy stuff

4. baby foxes are cute...(not strictly relevant, but hey...)

I shall attempt to outdo previous pictorial contributions:

answer for number 2:

there are some urban foxes that live in these, or near those sorts of areas

Reporter on the BBC genuinely asked a talking head whether this was a dangerous omen of things to come. You know, instead of it being a horrible, freak occurrence.

"Mr. Mayor, I hate to break it to you, but this town is infested by bears." "Yeah, and these ones are smarter than the average bear. They swiped my pic-a-nic basket!"

And what do you know, it'll turn out our taxes are so high because of all those damned immigants. That's right real-life: The Simpsons already did it.

Oh, and while we're completely ignoring the actual tragedy, can I be the ******** who asks who the hell Fox Maul is, and why this topic is about his children?

Fixed it; it was too annoying (mod power abuse...).

It's not that far fetched a story. I live in London and we have an entire family of foxes living right at the bottom of our garden - they come into our yard and yowl most nights, and if you don't fasten your bins up well expect the contents strewn all across the road in the morning.

Similarly I don't think it's too unreasonable for a family to open a window/door in this hot weather; it's not really something anyone would expect to happen. Sad for the family and of course, sad for the potentially completely innocent fox who died in revenge for no real reason.

On a related note, part of the family of foxes living just behind the back fence of my back garden killed something rather noisy during the night a week or so back. Princess was not amused.

My neighbor wasn't too amused when the foxes dug under his cage-thing and killed his chickens recently, either.

They managed that? Wow. They've never managed to do it to ours. Saying that, I have only a dog now, no chickens. They died of old age a few years back.
