Why must people torture me talking about FFXII I wanna play mine :(

Because its fun....

The Monster hunts in the game are brilliant for bonuses but some of the creatures are mentally strong.

The movie inserts make me drool everytime they appear

Monster Hunts aren't hard once you been to most places and have at least been to a few transportation crystals.

Yeah I am loving them

ANd now I have played the game more I am getting used to the licences and the Gambits the game is getting easier as I go, although some of the fights are still intense

Gambit system for me is only full of Attack, Cure and Cura, I don't use anything much past that, I used to have Fran, Penelo and Balthier cast Haste, Protect and Reflect every once in a while but it wasted too much MP so I stopped it. License point system was hard to grasp in the first few hours after that it was quite well constructed, I can see why this is 40/40 from Famitsu.

Soooooooooo many side quests in FFXII I love it my chararcters are already level 20 and I have barely played the actual story part of the game I am loving this.

The Gambits rock especially when you go up against the tougher opponents, I have a few special ones set up for boss fights like Dispel and Bubble (doubles you HP).

As for weapons the range is brilliant currently trying to specialise in Samurai Swords as they allow more hits and break through the usual 9,999 hit point limit as they can have combo attacks up to 10 times (only had this happen once).

Soooooo addicted, spent this morning at work reading the guide book for all the extra side quests that I have missed (not looking at how to complete them just where they are).

You're using a guide book? Well.... damn. I've kicked the games ass without using any references at all, but I really want the optional Espers. I have at least 1/3 of the game left and everyone is in their 40s, so I'm training up and doing hunts, and I'm pissed I can't get the ultimate weapon.

You mean the Spear, yeah its annoying that to get it you must NOT open certain chests, I won't get that either, I'm just using the guide to find the side quests as there are hundreds and a few I would never have found if I hadn't of looked up.

The Espers are quality some you get automatically as the story progresses but others you have to go find on your own

You must buy ps2

On another note ff12 is a great game but the one thing i find it lacking is chacter development.

I'm just over half way through of which i don't honestly know all that much more about the chacters.

In ff7 by half way you find out why baret is fighting shinra, why tifa joined avalanche and kept an eye on cloud.

Yuffie had her mini game/explanation and well all the chacters fit into alignment.

I'm hoping there will be more of a development as time goes by i can kinda see why there making a squeal.

I think that is because the history's are kind of there lready after all you have thwe deposed queen fighting the empire who took her kingdom, Vaan you know about his bro at the start, Penelo explains that the war took there parents. And Basch as the framed guard.

I hope we learn more about the Pirates though and why they are been chased

Any body actually found an esper on FFXII yet? I am kinda doing the side quests at the moment and bumming around the sand sea so I haven't gotten far enough into the game, how is the animation and how well do they work as extra characters?

I have the two you get in the game so far, the first one you get is awesome, you must license it, and you can only license it for one character only, I picked Ashe. When you use it you must have full MP and wait a second for the summoning sequence to begin, once it comes out to fight, it's just you and the summon fighting, you can heal it and stuff too, so if it's badly hurt you can heal it to carry on fighting. Good idea, sort of like VIII's GF stuff.

Just realised I am due to get the first one soon, can't wait to get the dawn shard as it means more side quests are unloacked and a few I have started are finally able to be finished.

So does that mean that with the summon out all your other characters disappear and its just you and the summon?
