Favourite opening/ending sequences

Hey everyone,

I'm curious to know what everyone's favorite anime openings are! Anime openings often set the tone for the series and can be incredibly memorable. Whether it's the music, the visuals, or just the overall vibe, there are some openings that we just can't skip.

Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) - "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" by Linked Horizon
This opening is iconic and always gets me pumped up. The visuals are epic, and the song perfectly captures the intensity of the series.
  2. Naruto Shippuden - "Blue Bird" by Ikimono Gakari
A classic that never gets old. The combination of the upbeat tune and nostalgic visuals makes this one of my top picks.
  3. My Hero Academia - "The Day" by Porno Graffitti
The first opening of My Hero Academia is so energizing and really sets the stage for the series. It always gives me chills!
  4. Demon Slayer - "Gurenge" by LiSA
LiSA's powerful vocals and the stunning animation make this opening unforgettable.

What are your favorite anime openings? I'd love to hear your thoughts and maybe discover some new ones!

Looking forward to your replies!

Cheers,Shamil

There are definitely many, many, many more I could mention but these are a good number of standout openings I enjoy a lot.

I do watch a lot of top openings videos on YouTube as well which is where I discover a lot of openings as some of these I'm still yet to see the series for... though nowadays most of the videos all include the same songs so I've been digging deeper.

In fact, I don't care too much about an opening statement. What I prefer is a good opening theme song that can completely attract me, such as Sincerely from the Violet Evergarden. That's a moved song.

My top openings in no particular order:

Hikaru Nara- Your Lie In April

Kaikai Kitan- Jukutsu Kaisen

Database- Log Horizon

A Cruel Angel's Thesis- Neon Genesis Evangelion

Can You Sleep at Night- AJIN Demi-Human

Uh, not to be a killjoy or anything but why is there a duplicate of an on-topic thread about anime in the "off topic" forum?

Edit: Since all is now right with the world I might as well add a couple I've recently been enjoying, I've liked nearly all the songs from Higurashi and the music/video choreography has been uniformly excellent (though the Kai and Rei EDs were pretty forgettable, those got skipped) but I think these two are my favourites so far.
